「Such a quiet spot and Annie couldn’t do enough for us」

「Na een gastvrije ontvangst door de gastvrouw gingen we naar de uitstekende kamer. Eigenlijk een mini appartement met een goed bed, eigen badkamer, apart toilet, tv en kitchenette. In de ochtend hadden we we een goed ontbijt in de gezamenlijke ontbijtruimte. Al met al een aanrader en voor herhaling vatbaar.」

We hebben de avond in de grote tuin doorgebracht met een gekoeld drankje dat we, net als de huisgemaakte jam van vlierbloesem, ter plekke konden kopen. In de nacht was het buiten aardedonker en muisstil. Een heerlijke plek uit de drukte in een landelijke omgeving.」

「Our host at Au Fer à Cheval was Romain, a friendly and helpful man. He owns about 20 English thoroughbred race horses, as well as breeds them. His farm is in a beautiful location with lovely views. It was unfortunately cold and wet for the two nights that we were there, so we couldn't use the pool, and the roads were too slippery for him to take us out in his horse-drawn carriage, but we did see two of his retired racing mares with their foals. 「This is a very conveniently located hotel. Clean and friendly family run hotel. Big room very clean and comfortable bed. One small warning it does not have a lift.」

Voulant télétravailler le lendemain, et compliqué de se concentrer avec le bruit des travaux par moment en journée, Monsieur m'a gentiment proposé une autre chambre pour être tranquille. J'ai beaucoup apprécié le geste. Je pense que d'ici les beaux jours avec les travaux fini ça va être formidable comme lieu 🙂」
