"The front of house staff were unfriendly, unhelpful and did not seem happy with their jobs. All became clear on checkout when I asked the new lady on reception who was the Manager. It turned out to be her and her band was EDWIGE. I asked to leave my luggage and was told that would be 4$. NEVER HAVE I EVER BEEN ASKED by a hotel that I have been staying in to pay for them holding luggage…. I asked on the first day for my bedside lamp to be sorted as it was not working. Two of the front desk said it would be done but it was not attended to. Both shower pressure and temperature needs attention, also lavatory flush. Each time I came down to reception there was another guest who had a problem/ complaint. The drinks case in the foyer only took coins and not credit cards. Reception had no coins. The manager was not interested in knowing about her complaints, in fact refused to give me her full name and hotel email so that I could document the problems I had experienced. I credit her behaviour with why the front of house staff are so depressed and lacking any charm. I don’t often write bad reviews bug this hotel needs to up its game."

"Stayed for 2 nights. Area is great. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Everything is easy walking distance. Hotel is roomy, clean and comfortable. "

"Awesome place to stay for a long weekend! Close walking distance to Old Montreal attractions, good food, coffee, and shops to explore. Followed by awesome sauna experience to relax after a long day! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"

"I booked this hotel because I was attending a conference on site and was pleasantly surprised by my experience. It has large, comfortable rooms and lovely gardens around the lobby level. It’s also a short walk from many main tourist spots and multiple public transit options. The only downside is that there can be a line to get on the elevators, which are pretty small, but they move quickly so I never waited for too long. All in all, I’d stay here again if I ever return to Montreal."

" A quaint hotel with clean modern rooms in an historic building. Great location on a relatively quiet downtown street. A 5 minute walk to the train station and about 15 minutes to old town. The laundry room had plenty of machines, the kitchen was well equipped (but we didn't really use it). The free continental breakfast had plenty of choices. We especially enjoyed the fresh bread. Best of all the staff was patient with us as we do not speak French, their English was fluent and they went above and beyond to help us with directions and suggestions. We stayed 4 nights, and will return again for 1 night before our trip back to the states. "
