Coming to an unfamiliar country; arriving to my destination Fern CourtReserve Road, Block B and being turned away by security guards. I phones Vrbo (international calling) four (4) to no avail, my mate and I were unsuccessful in receiving assistance from the company who gladly received our money. Home away from home experience really put a damper on our trip, but we had to scramble with once again to call family members in the US for assistance in finding a place to stay which was a horrible, horrible experience for a person who had left the state for the first time. Vrbo was NO HELP

When I vacation I usual stay at a hotel or a resort but this time I decided to do something different and am more than glad that I did. Being here made me feel like I have my own house on a private island. The property is in a gated community. It was very quiet and peaceful there which allowed me to really relax here. I can’t wait to come back again! Loved it.

This apartment was great! It was very clean and open. The view from the terrace was beautiful. They had all the amenities that I needed. The staff was very helpful and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in Kingston.

I booked Fern Court Apartment with Oceanic View III and when I arrived to check in I was sent to a villa at the back of an adjacent property CoolShade. It was at that point i was told that my reservation was changed to an "upgrade" . The rooms and location were not an upgrade based on the photo and description of Fern Court. It was at 3pm after a long travel day I was now being asked if i would take the villa, as if i had a choice. No one communicated before, and the Manager was to send the directions which she didnt, i had to call at 3pm to get the instructions. During the stay, there was no water on the property 3 times. I texted the Manager, who said she would get back to me but didnt. On the day i was departing there was no water from 7am I again had to send a text to the Manager, who responded around 1030am, by which time I had already left quite frustrated. The owners were sent a message and informed. I would not book any property managed by that team of persons. I was charged a cleaning fee of 60USD and a destination fee which came up to a total of 135 USD . I will avoid any property that requires that I pay additional money on arrival in the future especially by cash. The issue was not that there was no water, but that no contingency was in place and that lethargic response by the management team on the ground. In addition to the poor communication of the owner, i could not get them on the 876# on the accommodation confirmation. Thus the poor rating.

Lovely apartment, the bay window in the bath is the thing I personally fell in love with the most. My husband spend a lot of time with his relatives on the patio playing cards. the patio is huge as well. This apartment is a good place to stay if you want to see the real Ocho Rios and feel like you are at home.

It’s private and secure. You can walk about 20 minutes to the main road to get public transportation if you don’t have a car. Person transportation is recommended. The sea is visible in the far distance from the front yard. The beach is not on property. Internet was out for a whole day. Great place for homelike stay.

Beautiful Vacation Rental Apartment

After traveling for hours due to connection and delayed flights then to miss check in time only to contact the property manger that was so understanding to still accommodate us with no extra charge was Great!! When we got to our apartment it was very spacious and well furnished with a zen garden view. We picked this one because of the Kingsize bed. The kitchen we fully equip and all the appliances were in working.. We took refuge in the master for the first two days, the comfort coupled with jet lag kept us from exploring the exterior for the first two day.The free wifi had great reception which enable us to keep contact with our family in New Zealand. The staff arranged for a cab to take us around town that was beautiful. This was a memory of a life time in our book!!! A must return!!!

A home away from home

My stay here was nothing short of excellent. Everything went well from the moment I arrived to the moment I checked out. Mrs. Beverly was extremely welcoming and made my stay here pleasant. Fern Court is located within Richmond Estates. Richmond itself is a wonderful community and everything you need is literally within the compounds of the community; grocery store, pool/bars, gym and even a private beach across the street. The community is well secured and patrolled round the clock by guards on both bike and foot. You are literally a short drive from Ocho Rios and there are plenty of food options right outside Richmond Estates. I personally don't like hotels/resorts etc. so I always rent house/apartments when I travel. I am from Jamaica, so I am very familiar with the area and I can promise you that you won't find anything like Richmond Estates. I highly recommend staying at this particular location as you will not regret it.

Apartment home in beautiful Ochos Rios Jamaica!

Coming to Jamaica with my friends was nerve racking, coming to another country where your out of your comfort zone. When we got to our beautiful “home away from home” we were greeted by a women name “Miss Beverley” a women who would drop everything to make sure your time in Jamaica is perfect. She had all of our problems that we might have encountered fixed, she took us under her wing and showed us the true Jamaican way and protected us from anything that could have potential to make our stay go bad. She was a true guardian angel. If you book at the fern court apartartment and have the opportunity to have miss Beverley, everything will be taken care of with a smile and a laugh. I highly recommend the fern court apartments and miss Beverley and will be back next year! As the Jamaicans say “IRIE service”

Around the island in 10 days

This was an excellent stop on our trip around the island in 10 days. The property was well positioned for access to the town but not having to deal with the hustle and bustle of staying in the town. The management team responded promptly to my inquiries. Beverly checked us in and showed us around and the apartment is exactly as described. Very clean and comfortable. Felt secure as the property is gated and have guards around the clock as well. A/C was a great asset and much appreciated. Was able to use the well-equipped kitchen to prepare a meal. Thank you for making our stay in Ocho Rios Splendid!! This is one for your bucketlist is Ocho Rios is on your list.

Wasting Away in Margaritaville!

Kevin and his staff were great the helped us with directions, they arranged a driver and when we decided to get a car they helped to arrange one. We loved the apartment which gave us access to all the amenities of the sister properties (pool, pool bar, tennis, gym and more). The route from Montego bay was one straight road. We visited the Rosehall Great House in Montego Bay. We visited in town and attractions (Ocho Rios) like Dunn's River Falls, Dolphin Cove and we did the horseback and zipline. We had access to our own private beach (Richmond Beach Club) but preferred the Reggae and Fisherman Public Beach which was right by the pier in town. We partied at the world famous Margaretville. We were told that it was only one hour to Kingston via a toll road close by so we took it to Kingston for a day and participated in the U.W.I Carnival. The apartment complex was beautiful and was very secure. The space was clean and has a lovely balcony, great for dining or just sitting out. Very nice bathrooms, immaculate. Would definitely recommend and wish we could stay a few days longer! If you are considering visiting Jamaica, this is the place to stay!
