Hotel was musky and stuffy. Couldn’t breathe properly through out the night, even after switching rooms. Left after one night

We have stayed at many Tru hotels, this one was just okay. Right away it was clear that the property is not maintained and everything in general was worn. They staff was nice and the price was better than downtown Detroit since we were just there for one night.

Hotel is clean, well cared for. Staff is professional, courteous. Guests however, were extremely noisy all through the night. Not much they can do about rudeness.

Just an average hotel stay. Upon arrival (after posted check-in time) rooms were not ready. Housekeeping was still cleaning the rooms. For the most part the lobby and rooms were clean, except for in the room the mattress sat on a pedestal type frame and there were crumbs and other debris sitting alongside the mattress. This was a little disturbing. The outside of the hotel could definitely use some TLC. It seemed there were more weeds in front of the hotel than there was grass.

My two grandchildren loved the pool. We enjoyed the breakfasts, but the children would have liked donuts included. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. We will stay at Tru again.

The property needed a bit cleaning up outside…garbage and weeds…not inviting especially either the 5 dollar parking fee! The hallway carpet needed a bit of cleaning. Room was clean but the chair at the desk needed a Clorox wipe cleaning before we would sit in it…bed and towels were clean and bed was comfy.

Loads of parking, very accommodating if you are towing a boat. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Family friendly, with a pool table and children's games available just past the lobby. Friendly staff.

This place was super cute! Bed was comfortable, lots of pillows. They had a pool table (that was free to play). The breakfast was really good! My favorite part was the pancake maker (you wave your hand and it plops the pancake mix on this conveyer belt and you can watch your pancakes being made. They also had several toppings you could put on them 😋). Staff was friendly. I would definitely stay here again!

The rooms are very poorly cleaned. The soap and body wash were empty in our room when we arrived. I watched them cleaning the elevator with a dirty rag, making it worse than before. The front desk staff was very kind and helpful however.

This is by far the best place to stay in Monroe! I’ve been in some ghetto properties when I come to visit every couple months. I now make Tru the one and only place I will stay in that area!
