「I would advise other travellers to be cautious, especially if arriving late or making a last-minute booking. I should also mention that I was told I would not be offered breakfast because I had booked last minute or arrived late. My experience with the reception staff made me feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. Regardless of the price paid for a room, every guest should be treated with basic courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not stay here again.」

There are a couple of pubs within walking distance along the tow path, including a micro brewery. The White Hart sells amazing Indian food! 「Room was clean and had a comfy bed but was far too warm and the shower didn’t work well. TV controls didn’t work and had to leave the bedroom window open all night with a noisy fan running to try and keep cool.」

「Great place although very quite a there is no onsite eating facilities. Breakfast is basic continental that you help your self to. And the staff are not there but good communication on phone」

「We had a lovely weekend at The Red Lion. The staff were incredibly helpful both ahead of and during our stay, and the pub food and breakfasts were very tasty. Our room felt a little dated and in need of maintenance in places, especially in the bathroom, but it served its purpose for our stay and we would be happy to go again.」
