「Most amazing stay , faultless on all levels . Will return 」

「Room was very clean and tidy. More than enough space for the two of us. Tea and coffee making machine in the room, as well as a mini fridge, which was unexpected, but very welcome. A variety of breakfast items are available as well as an option for full english. Hosts Richard and Karen were very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again, and would thouroughly recommend staying at The Clarence.」

「Very nice place to visit, warm and stylish with wonderful food and service. Place where you can relax and enjoy a peaceful countryside life. Cottage room are very nice with own fire plce and comfy bed but smells old and damp would be nice to have some better ventilation there. Same as swimming pool and jacuzzi nice pool but very shallow, once you in jacuzzi is hard to breathe due to chlorine and bad ventilation. Pet friendly but if you with a pet you have only option to stay in the cottage...

「Karen and Graham were excellent hosts and the breakfast was a full English one and many other options in the morning. Pretty easy walk from the train station along the seashore promenade to the Guesthouse. We lucked out with 4 sunny days and enjoyed ourselves as many restaurants and eateries in the neighbourhood.」

「Had a great one night stay in a small double room. Staff very pleasant, friendly and welcoming. Room was not a bad size for a small double, bed was comfortable. En-suite was compact, water pressure not great for the shower. Nice sized wardrobe with hangers and shelves. Breakfast was lovely with both cold options and full English. 10-20 minute walk to beach and main shopping area with plenty of food and drink options on route. Would definitely stay here again」

「We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, Penny our host could not do enough for us. It was bed and breakfast and ‘WOW’ what a breakfast, so much choice and very filling. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, your room was cleaned as soon as you left. Nothing was to much trouble for Penny and she always had a smile on her face. Just for your information, anyone thinking of booking, you have to negotiate stairs, to get to all but one of the bedrooms.」

「We stayed here for a weekend, and found the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was fairly newly furnished and very clean. We travelled with our dog, so although he was not allowed in the room (he slept in our car), it helped that the rest of the hotel was very dog friendly. The restaurant meals were good, with a wide choice of dishes on the menu. Only minor quibbles were : shower was in the bath so meant you needed to climb over the side of the bath, and also the bathroom floor was...

「Great location and accommodation was lovely. Not a cheap stay but if you have kids there is lots to keep them amused. Some of the kids zones are a bit tired and need a refresh. We were there at Easter and they were short staffed in the restaurant. Food was good but needed more options given the prices being charged. Breakfast was great. Staff were excellent but stressed due to shortages.」

「Good stay. The room and bathroom were clean and the linen nice. However the room was compact and the limited storage was full of blankets and pillows. There was a portable suitcase stand but literally no where to put it. The biggest problem was being woken on the first morning by noise in the car park and the second morning by the noice from the shower in the next room, it was extremely loud. The staff were fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. 」
