"Our go to hotel for a short break. Close to town, the countryside, lovely spot. Staff really good. Only criticism this time is that the breakfast was not up to previous quality. Saying that, probably be back next year."

"The staff on the night of my stay the was very friendly and helpful and understanding where I lost my bank card they said that it is okay to pay by cash for my stay and drinks and food and the drinks and food was not to price very nice food I will be going back to the hotel as they made me feel like I was at home so I would recommend you to everyone that I talk to"

"It was short walk from the train station and like 50 minutes from London. The restaurant in the hotel is pretty good and the bus to colchester city center is pretty good. The hotel was clean and check out was pretty easy as well."

"Gym closed, spa was open but had to pre register at reception. Hotel bit dated deffo needs a bit TLC. Room I had was ok, but again in need of some help. Bed very comfy, and towels a plenty. Was ok to stay"
