「Really lovely apartment in a beautiful place. Views from the complex were breathtaking and the location was perfect to get to Florence, pisa and Siena. Room itself was somewhat basic but very charming and rustic. Kitchen nicely equipped with everything you might need. Special thanks goes to the hosts who were fantastic, gave us a really useful guide to the local area which we made use of multiple times and couldn't do enough to help us. 「Small family-owned inn located in center of Civitella in Val di Chiana. Room was comfortable and included all we needed. It was cold upon check-in which the co-owner tried to remedy with a space heater. It took a while. The room warmed up after the first night. The other co-owner kindly offered me our first night complimentary. (Thank you again.). 「Wir waren viele Jahre dort und sind jetzt nach einer Pause wieder dort hin gekommen. Leider hat es sich nicht zum positiven entwickelt. Es ist sehr auf Masse ausgerichtet und hat nicht mehr diesen familiären Charme wie es mal war. Zudem ist es sehr teuer geworden und hat gerade bei den Restaurants sehr an Qualität, Geschmack und Service abgebaut. Die Poollandschaften sind schön und gepflegt. Das Personal ist freundlich.」

「Our fist time experience with a castle hotel is pleasant. We arrived at a rainy day and thus a bit of difficulties in lifting our heavy luggage to the reception - you have to walk a few wet and muddy stone steps from the parking place. Despite that, everything else of our accommodation is nice. The heating is also well functioned considering most other hotels or agriturismo do not offer heating in late April.
