「Super clean, very friendly manager, great location and highly recommend.」

「Very good and convenient location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are bright, comfortable and clean. Delicious breakfast. Well-equipped rooms. A good place to stay in Tavistock! 」

「Owl Barn was just beautiful - we loved the fact that the sheep wandered past the garden fence and the horses came close to be petted ! The view from the window was amazing and the Barn had everything we could possibly need - we would definitely recommend it and would be very happy to go back again 」

「I paid higher price for a room with a private bathroom, unfortunately the private bathroom is not in my room, my wife and I had to walk across the public landing, passing another room door, to get to the “private bathroom”. There are small insects too, we don’t mind the spiders, but the flies are quite annoying.」

「Great location very clean Jackie and her sister where great hosts very friendly and helpful would definitely recommend 」

「Lovely owners who were very welcoming. Right in the middle of town and almost next door The Prince of Wales pub. Very good breakfast. Lovely room and nice comfy bed. Highly recommended.」

「It is a big apartment. Everything is there. Specially the kitchen with an oven. Perfect bed. Only the neighbourhood is a bit poor. But a small supermarket just round the corner. Breakfast included is basic.」

「It was a nice hotel in a good location. Staff also nice and helpful. However my single room was TINY. Single bed squeezed in with wall at foot of bed, so my toes touched this when I stretched out. Ensuite was too small to include sink in there, so was in the bedroom. No window but a frosted window emergency door, leading me to think that where the room was was originally a corridor to this emergency exit. Also no towels left in room, which I did not notice until came back in evening when...

「Staff incredibly helpful from Manager to the cleaner- great breakfast」

「Hotel does need some maintenance doing, our room had some damp in a patch in corner. flakey paint on wall in bathroom. At breakfast there was a bulb going in the main light which was flashing all the time we were having breakfast. Fire exit handle was broken in restaurant and fire extinguisher needs looking at. Food at breakfast was very nice 👍」

「Excellent location, perfect for solo travellers. The room and common areas were spotless, and Judy, the hostess, was welcoming and helpful and cooked a mean breakfast. Luggage storage was provided, which is always appreciated. Would highly recommend this guest house for anyone visiting Plymouth.」
