"I travel for work and have stayed at a few places in Ames before staying here. Let’s just say this is the only place that has felt clean, not just looked clean. I normally don’t stay at hotels that have carpet but this place had carpeting that looked like it had just been shampooed. Excellent upkeep in function and appearance from maintenance/mgmt. Guy at the front desk is always welcoming and after driving for over 4hrs that’s really appreciated. "

"Breakfast was okay, but not great. The eggs I think would do better as scrambled. The biscuits and gravy were great though. Everything else was great about the stay, and I will look to get another room if I need to stay overnight in Ames again."

"We had had a horrible experience just before we got there at another hotel. The staff at Quality Inn were fantastic! They listened to our frustration, did a quick but thorough job of checking us in, the room was spotless, and the person at the front desk when we left was very helpful and kind.
