「Situated near the station and at the top of the main drag, this hotel is in dire need of some tlc. They do appear to have a programme of renovations in hand, but our corner room had several cracked window panes and dated furnishings. 「I think a lot of people has reviewed on this. But I can only said air conditioning system issue need to be fix. Otherwise it is hard for other customer wants to stay. It is summer time and the air conditioning system not work. All you got is a fan will only have little help. Can you imagine stay in the room with 27C? And there is not compensation. Charging almost 100 pound per night, and it is the sleep environment we got.」

「Clean rooms with everything you would expect in most hotels. Complimentary water in the room was welcomed especially as we stayed when temperatures were higher. Only upgrade that would be helpful is air-conditioning although we were lucky we had a cross draught with the window and balcony doors which helped hugely. 「Comfortable, clean room in a quaint old pub. Food was OK, but pricey. The most disappointing thing, given that the pub is owned by Adnams, was the quality of the beer. I tried all three of their staple brews, all of which I know and like, but they were all flat and lifeless. They were also very expensive given that they were only brewed ‘up the road’!!」
