I have been coming to Egypt for over 20 years and have to say the new style of hotels are a great format for European travelers. The hotel and gardens are immaculate and kept very clean. "Amazing place for diving! Great food, friendly staff, skilled diving instructors. This was my second time in Maraa Shagra and I’m definitely coming back again. It’s quite hot in August, but with several dives a day and AC in the rooms I don’t mind the heat and actually prefer the resort to be very quiet."

Air conditioning did not work initially, the remote did not work. The gym was not working, and it was a bummer that it cost extra to use and sauna and steam room.
