"I arrived late but the welcome was still amazing. Lovely room, well equipped with a beautiful view. Super breakfast and easy checkout. I will definitely revisit and recommend. "

"We stayed for 2 nights to look at the area due to our daughter relocating for work. The hotel was a bit dated, it was clean, en-suite with a bath, bed was comfortable. Tea and coffee in the rooms. Breakfast was lovely. In the pub attached to the hotel. There was a good band on the Saturday night. Parking was in a car park opposite, we didn’t have to pay due to the times we were there. There was plenty of space. There was a lovely Indian restaurant next door. A Greene King Pub opposite. ASDA was across the road. Close to the main road to get to Southend, Leigh on Sea and train station (40 minutes into London). A quiet area but if you are exploring it is a great base. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay again."

"The Mill is a gem of a hotel with a picturesque location and walking distance from the main town facilities. The bedrooms are well-equipped and private parking is free for guests. Even though the hotel is very well appointed, the staff are friendly but not stuffy and it has a small hotel feel. The bar and dining room is spacious with the feature water wheel and views across the water meadows. The food is slightly more expensive than average pub grub, but it is tasty with good size portions. Looking forward to our next stay."

"I enjoyed my stay. The hotel was clean, and it had basic tea coffee, kettle, water and wash lotion etc. No lift, which i did find hard as i have health condition. The signage could be improved, as its not obvious that the lounge is the front door. The main sign for the hotel is in front of two grey doors, whuch apparently are for the laundry! I didn't have breakfast as didnt feel well. I would stay again, it was close to theatre. "
