"Lovely boutique hotel with fantastic room. Enjoyed our balcony overlooking the park. Nicely sound proofed by the green barrier. Couldn’t cheat and look next door. Loved that! Not overwhelmed by staff reception. Seemed a little tedious to be checked in. However, everything else about the room and location is great! Really nice bathroom and super comfy bed. If you are looking for special recognition and warmth for the price point not anything to set it apart. However, if you are looking for a really nice room and convenient access to Montreal, you are in! I am more interested in enjoying a nice room so all good for me. Historic touches are great. Oh, almost forgot. Several bellmen or whatever we call them these days were abundant but more interested in chatting with each other than attending to guests. My husband is quite handicapped and was toting his own luggage through the exit when we were leaving. Not one of about five came to his rescue. And, definitely, no one gave me a second glance toting my luggage through the door. I tipped well on arriving for luggage to come up to the room but never was given a second glance afterwards so elected to do our own departure luggage haul. I give the hotel a 5 because it is lovely hotel with character but beware of service. Also, the restaurant was way below par for the level of hotel."
