The place was nice and clean, although some of the towels were 'makutim'. Was just a little disappointed that they charged us 2500 for a stain that got on the sheets. I'd think cleaning fees were already included in what we're paying for during our stay.

For the price, it would have been great. But the following got to me:
#1. I can hear from my bed the waste water from the room above mine flushed down the drain. And one can't help but imagine what that is and yuck. Luckily I was not eating at that time. I understand RedDoorz's business model, but it doesn't cost much to cover the drain pipes with sound insulation.
#2. Some parts of the flooring were dirty and in need of sweeping when I first entered.
#3. I tried calling the desk several times using the number they gave me. No one answered.
#4. The TV is too cheap as it doesn't sound well. It's noisy. And I'm not even an audiophile that requires high quality audio, only something pleasant enough to listen to.

There is no coordination in their booking system. They kept on transferring me to Tayuman branch without my permission. According to them, it is because of high volumes of check-ins. Considering the fact that I already booked and paid few months ago, that is a breach of contract.
It was clean and comfortable as a hotel should be. Provides the comfort of home. There are fast food chains nearby, with Pizza Hut and 7/11 just beside the hotel. The rate is reasonable. To quote McArtthur, I shall return to it when in Manila. 😉 Just one thing though, I hope I don’t have to ask for my free coffee and bottled water next time. I had to ask for my supply every single day. Ive stayed for 5 days. Over all, I am a satisfied client.

When we arrived on Nov 9, we were told that their system did not show any booking of a room, even after we showed them the emailed booking confirmation from Expedia. We gave them 30 minutes to look for the booking but to no avail. This is the second no room available by this hotel: Two weeks before Nov 2, we received emails from Expedia advising us that our Nov 2 booking had been cancelled, We did not receive a single cancellation email from Expedia for the Nov 9 booking. 30 minutes after we left the hotel, a RedDoorz CSR called us to apologize. He told us that there was no booking from Expedia for our Nov 9 room, and they only learned of the booking when we were complaining at the front desk. Lesson learned: Use Expedia only at your peril. Two succession room bookings confirmed by Expedia turned out to be counter-productive. One was cancelled for no reason while the other did not even exist at all. Neve happened to me when I use Agoda, but unfortunately, only Expedia had those rooms "available" at those dates. Turn out that they were not actually available. Expedia is worthy of expletives.

We had received a confirmation of our booking from Expedia a month ago. We went there on Nov 9 expecting that we had a room, only to be told that their system did not show any booking in our name or under Expedia. They told us that they would be contacting their customer service if they could find us a room in another RedDoorz property, but after waiting for 30 minutes we told them we had enough of waiting. One hour later, their CSR called us, apologized for keeping us waiting, but when we asked why we were not informed days before that there was our booking was cancelled, CSR officer said that they only learned of the situation only at the time when their front desk informed them that we were waiting at the hotel itself and asking for the confirmed room. It seems that this was Expedia's fault. Our Nov 2 confirmed booking was also cancelled with no reason given, but at least we were informed of the cancellation by email two weeks before. So now we have had two confirmed room bookings cancelled- Nov 2 and Nov 9. Lesson learned: Use Expedia at your peril.
Friendly & nice staff. Chin is very accommodating to our needs. She & the staff did everything to make our stay a pleasant one. Will stay here again next time we’re back in the Philippines.
