Room had fan and dehumidifier running. Which were very noisy, the room was already hot, and turning the dehumidifier off made it worse. There were also occasional ants in the room

Unexpected deposit requested. Some stray hairs on the linen. Thin walls. Probably could be rather noisy on a weekend but midweek was ok. Very good location for the village so overall for a one night trip it was just right

Possibly the worst hotel I've stayed in, in Manchester. Room was dingy, dirty, still wet through from cleaning (even coffee cups had were all pooled underneath). Half a toilet roll provided. No bin outside the bathroom. Noisy. Group of women drunk in the hotel screaming and shouting at 4am and nobody intervened. Would never stay again. The closer you looked at the room, the worse it got.

A requested an upper floor room via Expedia,,but was allocated a basement room. Mechanically ventilated with extractors.dark unlit recess for dressing table - no mirror. No bedside cupboard top shelf or bedside light.

I have traveled the world from South Africa to Europe to The Caribbean and this is Probably the worse hotel I have ever stayed in. I think I had a certain expectation given were it was situated. The bed was terrible, the pillows were the worse I had ever had and I’m not fussy at all. The shower leaked and we arrive to two half use toilet rolls of toilet paper. The room look very different from the pictures. It was the first hotel I had been to that never had air conditioning. We we put on the ground floor because we had a sADA registered service dog none of the concessions requested or requested by us. It was noisy even after we closed the windows and shutters but with no Aircon it was terrible.

Bed bugs :(

The staff were nice and welcoming. The walls were thin, so you hear other guests, but luckily it wasn’t too noisy. We had booked 3 nights, but had to move to another hotel because our room had bed bugs (or something of the sort). We hardly got any sleep because we were so itchy.

tess on reception was lovely and friendly and helpful sorting me with a iron and ironing board. place was spotless couldnt fault it. step outside to all bars restaurants you need i had a great stay.

Great location no doubt, and the property was adequately clean. However, we found the room pretty small, stuffy and the noise from the bar right behind prevented us sleeping sound even though we shut the window.

Fine for what it is and where it is.

Fine for what it is. You're never going to get peace and quiet in a hotel on Canal Street, but there is additional double-glazing to help with that. The place is a bit tired and could do with some maintenance, but it's OK. Bit odd that you specifically have to request that they make up your room, they don't by default.
