"We arrived just before the hot weather so we had a few days of cloudy weather and one day of heavy rain... and we enjoyed every moment. This isn't such a well known place but it was lovely for us as it let us disconnect a bit and just relax. Walks up the beach to Kawazu, lovely meals and just lots of quiet time.. just what we needed.
The staff were all lovely and very helpful, the room was larger than we expected with very comfortable beds, a great bathroom and a balcony that overlooked the ocean. Everything was clean and in perfect condition.
Highly recommended."
"Waowww.....what a view! - all rooms have sea views on the rolling waves and surfers having fun. Really beautiful from sunrise to sunset. And the Onsen is an added bonus, fantastic. I only stayed a couple of nights but super nice.
Rooms are spacious, comfy, buffet is plentiful, and the sushi bar is exquisite!
Highly recommended stop, especially with family."
"The view from the hotel is magnificent. The Japanese style rooms are spacious and quiet. I speak survival level Japanese, but there were a lot of communication problems so be ready to have your translator handy. It’s best to have a car to get around the shuttle service was hard to schedule and when returning from the station, they leave exactly at the hour they won’t wait one minute for you during the crowded summer months you cannot get dinner served in your room so you have to eat and the buffet which had good quality for food, but it was still an expensive buffet"
"Easy shuttle bus to and from Shimoda train station. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean spacious room. Clean swimming pool and onsen area. Easy access to the beach and 7 Eleven nearby."
