"The property is attractive, room was lovely and clean, grounds were appealing and we had a room with French doors leading outside with a small table and chairs outside which was great for breakfast etc. There is a kitchen with everything you need to cook a meal which is a bonus if you fancy self catering. Adam was helpful and informative. Very quiet and relaxing location and perfect for visiting the area although you do need a car."

"I am sorry to say that our stay was unexpectedly very bad. Even as we checked in the property was cold. There was NO HEATING and no HOT WATER. After many tephone calls we were told that the we boiler was not functioing. We were given grossly inadequate heaters which did little to correct the situation. It completely wrecked the evening which was the celebration of my wife's 70th Birthday. Our first night was a nightmare with no ability for us and our guests to have shower for two full days even...

"Great place to stay, gorgeous buildings and grounds, very nice and helpful staff. Without a car, it is a little far from Cambridge proper, but reachable by bike or bus. Rooms are quite small, but the price was very fair."

"Brilliant stay, I'll definitely be back regularly! Everything was great. I'm a female solo business traveller and this literally ticks every box - clean and well-appointed spacious room, plenty of sockets for chargers, hair dryer etc, comfortable bed, plenty of parking close to the hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, great bathroom, walk in shower instead of climbing over the bath and good storage for luggage and clothes. Someone has thought of literally everything which isn't always apparent in other hotels. Also very quiet with lovely surroundings. And the window opens! Honestly quite blown away by my stay and wish I'd come here sooner!"

"The staff at the Porters Lodge and at breakfast were excellent and very helpful. The room was minimalist, but the bed and chair was comfortable. The college is the middle of Cambridge and ideal in my case for meetings at two other colleges within easy walking distance. The only down side is that my room was on a third floor which entailed going up a steep and narrow set of steps with a suitcase. There was no lift and while not impossible with a small overnight bag with a larger suitcase, or anyone elderly, or infirm, or in need of stick to get around, would have found this very difficult. Hot breakfast was fine and typically long tables and benches to sit on."

"I cannot fault the staff at this place. They were all really lovely and always willing to help. The breakfast is decent and ample parking on site. The rooms are a good size and very clean. We really appreciated that there was already a fan in the room alongside the AC - needed in the heatwave."

"Very nice hotel and the staff were attentive and polite. The room is a good size with a very comfortable bed. Parking is a bit pricey but I guess it is Cambridge, easy to get in and out the under ground car park. Breakfast was excellent!"

"Stayed for one night as a halfway point to our summer holiday. Arrived early evening and got checked in inside a few minutes. Asked at reception for some extra pillows for the beds, which were delivered within a few minutes. We all slept soundly, little to no noise from either the services car park or within the hotel. Room was a little warm, with a fan provided. It's a good value for money no-frills hotel and we'll be back next time we do the same journey. We didn't use the restaurant in the hotel, but breakfast and dinner is available - there's a wide range of food and drink available and prices are reasonable (to compete with the eateries elsewhere on site). The bar is open to hotel guests only."
