Top Madero Street Hotel Reviews
Hotel Zócalo Central
10/10 Excellent
"I enjoyed my stay!"
Hotel Catedral
10/10 Excellent
"The breakfast was better before, same chef but changed the recipes."
Gran Hotel Ciudad de Mexico Zocalo View
10/10 Excellent
"From walking in the door through checkout the staff was phenomenal: helpful, pleasant, anticipating needs. The hotel itself was even more beautiful in person than I expected. Room was exceptionally clean, well appointed. Top notch stay all around."
Hotel Canada Central
8/10 Good
"Hotel is a well maintained property a block from the zocalo. It has a breezy top floor cafeteria with a balcony from which you can see the cathedral and the giant Mexican flag. The breakfast is delicious and included. They also have complementary snacks, sandwiches, coffee, water and beer available 24/7. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom/shower were modern and worked properly. The staff were helpful and friendly. I tried to speak Spanish and most of them politely would reply in English. The only critiques I would have is that a couple of times the clean bed linen looked a bit worn/dirty but that is not uncommon for hotels unfortunately and it’s a bit noisy. On Friday and Saturday night a nearby bar was playing music to quite late (I had a room facing the main road) and the walls are thin so I was woken up a couple of times by people talking in a neighbouring room. The noise may be part of the experience though!"
Hotel Bellas Artes
8/10 Good
"The property is in a great location and there’s nothing wrong at all.The only thing that.I remember they did not allow us to play Dominos at the Lobby"
Historico Central Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"I understand there are several hotels under this name in central historical district. We stayed at the Simón Bolívar No. 28 address. The hotel was just amazing. Yes, the room was small, but no different than we expect in any large city. The location really was in the historical district, and on a street featuring all the musical instrument stores. When we arrived, they handed us a glass of mezcal as a greeting. They went on to explain that at the little cafe counter at the front, we could get free beer and snacks (some substantial sandwiches), although mixed drinks were about U.S. $7.00. A great breakfast selection with espresso drinks outperforming Starbucks was also free. In other words, you could stay in Mexico for just the cost of the hotel. There are unlimited supplies of free water, and the hotel even offered a free three-hour tour of the old city that was deeply informative and delightful. All the staff were wonderful to us, and I highly recommend the hotel. I so hope we can return."
