「I loved that old cottage and am glad it is in good use. It's nicely furnished and the village where it is situated is delightful. Two negatives were the dog smell in the lounge and poor state of plants in pots. While the dog smell is probably unavoidable as dogs are allowed, the dead plants brought about a depressing impression. Being a gardener, I tried to look after the remaining plants and had to transplant one huge heuchera plants that was literally hanging in the air as its pot was...

「Room was exceptional y clean. Very very hot fan was supplied but did absolutely nothing (it was the hottest few days) Only one window could open and that was a maximum of 3 inches We will book again but study the facilities much closer . Slightly misleading when you read the descriptions where it says "hotel apartments" Staff were very friendly and cheerful」

「The location when we arrived was perfect so peaceful and tranquil. A bit difficult to find as going down the lane only a car width and when reaching the end no signage to say we were in the correct place or to guide us signage to the cabin. I was quite dated inside but clean and tidy enough, it had what you would need for your stay. 「We have stayed at Astor house before so we came back to the same apartment. They had upgraded the sofas to recliners which was a nice surprise. The apartment itself is easy to get to clean and Torquay town centre is a short walk away. It has a great view over the beach side of Torquay and the area is quiet. The place is clean and well maintained and the host kindly provided some biscuits and milk. I would highly recommend this place.」
