WOOFing Easy way to save a few $ while meeting the locals. We spent three weeks at Laurel Bank House working for accommodation and meals. Playing with the three resident golden retrievers was a nice perk :) http://www.laurelbankhouse.com

Verified traveler

If you want peace and quiet away from it all with the natural beauty of the area this is the place for you. Near shopping Centre and it had a small kitchen to cook and a washer and dryer. For me it was perfect!

This isn't quite the Remarkables Ski Area but it's not that far away. It was November and the biggest snow fall that Queenstown had ever had in that month fortuitously dumped some lovely white stuff all over the mountain tops. We went out the next day and could only get so far before the road was closed due to snow clearing activities. Still, it was a lovely drive!
