The area is great! 1 block up Santa Ynez to Glendale Blvd and there is a gorgeous park with little cafes and restaurants. 2 block up Alvarado towards Santa ynez and there are mini vintage shops, cafes, etc. Go up further to Chipotle and Habit. The opposite direction on Alvarado towards Kent leads Maccies, a 12 minute walk leads to more food and target. The room was a great size for the cost and the bed is so comfy! I had a queen size and it was perfect as a solo traveler. I am in love with the mirror that has a light, ladies its perfect for make up application. I was also fortunate go come when it was peaceful. Very calm location! I will note the room can get a bit stuffy but the air conditioner was perfect for that and the microwave wasn't in the best shape, but my stay was still great! I would definitely come back!

Good location for dodgers game but sketchy (not uncommon for LA). Room key was given but wasn’t ready when we got to it, so nice staff gave us new room. Room was full of mosquitos and spiders in the windows. AC worked good. Bed was most uncomfortable bed we’ve ever slept in.

Sheets had stains, floor didn't feel clean, multiple scratches on furniture, and overall just a feeling of grittiness. Very noisy, easy to hear the traffic, people outside, and in the rooms next door. We've stayed at places across from highways and freeways and have heard less than here. A/C worked really well and the staff were friendly. Would not stay here again.
