⭐️ 1-Star Review – Hotel Huntington
I booked Hotel Huntington after a long day of travel — nearly 10 hours of flying followed by an hour-plus drive. The entrance looked nice enough, but the experience quickly went downhill.
When I arrived, there was no parking near the building, so I had to carry my luggage from a distance. The room was shocking — nothing like the pictures online. The floor was cracked, the chair was stained, the bed had a red mark on it, the baseboards and paint were peeling, and there was no blanket. Worst of all, the window wouldn’t lock. When I called the front desk, the attendant insisted all the windows were locked and dismissed my concern. She said someone would come check — no one did.
The drawers didn’t close properly, and although the bathroom was decent, it didn’t make up for the rest of the room. Another guest told me they stepped on a nail sticking out of the carpet. I also noticed suspicious activity happening at the back of the property, which made me feel unsafe as a woman traveling alone.
Thankfully, Expedia issued me a refund. When I returned the key, the front desk offered a different room, but I declined. I told them directly: “This is not a safe place for a woman to stay.”
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for safety, cleanliness, or an honest listing. Very disappointing experience.
DON’T STAY!!!’n
