We had a variety of different issues at the Knight of Notting Hill, unfortunately and would really appreciate some kind of compensation for the volume of issues. - There was no hot water for the shower. It was cold. - Heater not working until staff shows us but space heater is missing a leg, which is a safety issue - No blankets brought to the room when requested - Not a king bed despite advertised that way - Unresponsive staff, had to go down multiple times - Fob to hotel entrance not working, had to enter through pub (pub entrance also closed at 12AM so had to come back before to not get locked out). - Stain on sheet, even after sheets were changed/washed. - No room service - No utensils - not even stir sticks for the coffee machine - Water from shower spread throughout floor, which was dangerous with the space heater. - Towels not replaced and did not dry overnight - Only offered separate accommodations/dinner/drinks at 10PM before check out. We were traveling the next day so couldn’t transport drinks and no mention of a refund. - Hotel staff came into shower with shoes on and left dirt in shower - Main light 2/3 bulbs were out Generally, we can make due - but due to colder weather conditions, having a non working shower and these other issues did not suit our needs of this stay.

We’ve had an unpleasant staying. Our towels and bedding looked like washed but not clean. There were many patches on them and it’s simply not hygienic. Our nightmare was the party in the bar down under the accommodation. They’ve said the music is off at midnight but it wasn’t and was so loud we couldn’t sleep. Nobody warned us about that. I’m really disappointed

Das Hotel hat eine super Lage. Fussläufig zur Portobello Road 2 Minuten. Zimmer sehr sauber und sehr nettes Personal. Besonders Sophie die Barkeeperin in der dazugehörigen Bar die direkt drunter ist, war enorm freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall nochmal wieder.

Wouldn’t stay again. Very noisy. Room was all satisfactory however didn’t feel comfortable or safe being a single women. The rooms around also banged doors all night.

We booked the Deluxe Room with a king bed at the Knight of Nottinghill through Expedia (based on a photo of a nice large room with a king bed). When we arrived however, we were put into a tiny, musty-smelling room with a double bed. We spoke with the Supervisor, who gave us 2 different stories – all the rooms are the same size and the hotel had not yet changed the photos on their web site or on Expedia; AND they did have a king room, but the one we booked had been given to someone else who had booked it 3 days prior. She offered us a different room (which was a bit larger than the first one but still very small), gave us a half-hearted apology, and said there was nothing else she could do. We pushed back and she offered us a free lunch, then a free dinner. She then relented and gave us a refund worth about one nights’ stay. Luckily, we noticed that our credit card had actually been charged instead of refunded. We spoke with the manager about this the following day, and after a few unsuccessful attempts at refunding our credit card, he shrugged his shoulders and said that there was nothing he could do, and that it was up to us to figure out why he was unable to refund our card. After arguing with him for about 20 minutes he finally agreed to give us the cash. Both the supervisor and the manager were dismissive, rude, and did not seem to understand the concept of customer service or hospitality. One star is too generous.

Room was clean and comfortable and modern but had a drains smell.the restaurant wasn’t open and the pub where you could eat was very busy and noisy. But would stay here again

This is not a hotel or inn. It is rooms on top of a pub. There is no check in desk. Everything had a layer of dust. It is not worth anywhere near what they charge. As a solo traveler, it made me very uncomfortable to have an entire pub full of people watch me walk up to my room; there’s absolutely no separation or security. I do not recommend.

Sehr schönes Hotel/Zimmer, an Ausstattung hatte nichts gefehlt und Check-in (im Pub an der Theke), sowie Check-out lief reibungslos. Man hatte einen separaten Zugang zu den Zimmern, dass echt super war, statt ständig durch den Pub laufen zu müssen. Außerdem war die nächste U-Bahn Station 1 Minute Fußweg entfernt. Im großen und ganzen war es ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt und wir kommen gerne wieder.

Unser Aufenthalt war super! Vom Flughafen gut mit der U-Bahn zu erreichen; Underground-Station nur wenige Schritte vom Hotel entfernt; Portobello-Road um die Ecke! Zimmer super gemütlich und geräumig. Pub und Diningroom in der unteren Etage! Sehr praktisch! Wenn wir das nächste Mal nach London reisen werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder diese Unterkunft buchen. Eine sehr schöne Gegend!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Food at the pub is excellent. Tube station is right around the corner, and the neighborhood is fantastical diverse. Will definitely come again!

We booked a king deluxe room. We got a queen standard room, and was told by the manager(owner?) that there are no king beds. There is no front desk or entry into a hotel. There is only a pub(which opens at 11) with very small sleeping rooms(and tiny bathrooms) above it with four flights of stairs to get to the rooms. It might work if all you have is a backpack and don’t mind cleaning the bathroom floor every time you shower.
