The place looks dirty and old at the outside but in the inside it looks the complete opposite but trying to see where you are staying is very tough to find once you check in doorway after door way and just seemed inconvenient

The property was OK, but I was perturbed to be asked for photographic ID at check in. I don’t remember this bring mentioned in any correspondence and the fact that I was allowed to check in after I had confirmed my name, address and phone number shows how ridiculous this is. This has never stopped any criminal activity in my view.

Small and noisy
Firstly this is our third or fourth time at this hotel. Thiis time we were put in a small room with the double bed pushed up against the wall, It was on the first floor. It was very noisy with creaking floorboards both in our room and the room above. The fire doors slammed shut heavily every time they were used. The fire alarm went off at 6 30 ish in the morning. I am sre it was unavoidable but an explanation could have been given

Absolutely awful
The absolute worse hotel I have ever stayed, at the room stank, the toilet was extremely dirty inside, all the tiles in the floor was cracked, the door handles had something sticky all over them, the shower and bath were full of grime along with the tiles, the pillow may aswell have not been there it was so thin. The walls were paper thin, we could literally hear every word of the conversations going on next door. The fire alarm was going off. The carpet was filthy. I’ve never had a worse sleep or felt so dirty staying anywhere in my life. The only reason I didn’t leave and go elsewhere was that I couldn’t find another hotel so last minute but I tried

Ich rate euch davon ab, dieses Hotel zu buchen. Das Zimmer, das wir ursprünglich gebucht hatten, war winzig klein. Das war aber nicht das Hauptproblem, sondern das Bad. Es war übersät mit schwarzem Schimmel. Die Decke, die Wände, selbst die Tür hatte Schimmel auf der Farbe drauf. In der Dusche und in den Fugen war es natürlich nicht besser. Als ich das an der Rezeption ansprach, taten sie recht überrascht, was mich jedoch nicht überzeugte, da sämtliche Bewertungen dieses Hotels von einem Schimmelproblem reden. Mir wurde versucht weiß zu machen dass dies durch die Person die das Zimmer zuvor hatte verursacht wurde, und es vor nem Monat noch nicht so aussah (was unmöglich ist bei dem Ausmaß). Wir haben um ein neues Zimmer gebeten, wurde zunächst abgelehnt da sie "ausgebucht" waren. Kurze zeit später wurde uns jedoch ein Zimmer angeboten, das eigentlich für eine andere Familie gedacht war, die noch nicht angereist ist. Das Zimmer am sich war größer, das Schimmelproblem im Bad bestand noch. Da hat sich der Schimmel nicht nur über die Wände ausgebreitet, sondern auch im Toilettenrand. Wirklich sauber waren die Bettbezüge auch nicht. Die Lüftungsanlagen sind grottenschlecht und ziehen auch keine Luft ab. Kein wunder dass die Feuchtigkeit nicht entweichen kann. Sie haben mich Mithilfe von Expedia früher auschecken lassen und haben uns die restlichen Nächte zurückgezahlt. Außerdem riecht es in den Fluren des Hotels sehr modrig und feucht. Wird also ein allgemeines Problem sein.

The stay was great I've stayed before. However this time I was in a room overviewing the street and got limited sleep with the noise of people outside. Also one of the beds had sand on a portion of the sheets under a cushion. Otherwise once again a good stay.

Sauberkeit war nicht wirklich gut. In den Ecken überall Dreck. Inventar alles sehr alt und abgenutzt. Zimmer extrem dunkel und stickig, Fenster kann nicht richtig geöffnet werden. Bad ist lächerlich klein. Tür zum Zimmer muss immer aufstehen da sonst kein Platz. Wasser in der Dusche nur heiß, kein kaltes Wasser vorhanden. TV hat auch nicht funktioniert. Preis/Leistung stimmt überhaupt nicht. Viel zu teuer für die bessere Besenkammer.

Just very dirty and there was even mould in the shampoo and body wash bottles. Ripped wall paper in room and very very small room meant for 2 people. Tv barely worked and asked for water and got told to drink out of bathroom tap. Which didn’t even run cold by the way. The bed was gritty like somebody ate toast in it before us and just generally uncomfortable. When we entered the room it smelt of vinegar we had to open all windows as it stunk that bad. Very inconvenient to not have a lift while carrying heavy luggage up stairs. No iron either and just lack of essential items. Worse sleep of my life

This place was very dirty. My blankets had old coffee/blood stains. The new towels they would give us every day didn’t seem that clean. Also our door didn’t close properly you had to give it a good pull or push. We came back one afternoon to find our door wasn’t even closed.

Jesus this place was run down and dirty. To get in my bathroom i had to move my bed as the room was to small. Dunno how they find that acceptable in any country.

Good quiet base for a London visit
Good budget hotel in the clean and safe Jewish suburb of Golders Green. Decent sized rooms for this kind of London accommodation plus a handy fridge. Initial hot days were tough with no air conditioning, and the shower had a mind of its own with the water cycling between hot and cold. Decent transport links, about 10 mins walk to the tube station.
