Took three attempts, two different check in agents and a complaint to manager to get a room that had functioning g facilities- a complete contrast to all my other stays at this hotel- clearly competent staff were taking time off!

Strand Palace Hotel
Staff were all lovely , nothing too much trouble ! Great stay lovely hotel highly recommend and the welcome drinks were a nice touch as well enjoyed it very much

The Tower Hotel, by Thistle
A kettle and tea in the room would be a must for us. A coffee machine that had parts missing was reported . We had two visits but still there was not a correction made. The bar put 13% on our wine bill ! Room fine great view but stayer beware !

We throughly enjoyed our stay. Evidently the hotel is New New, everything is perfect. Even the carpets smelt New. We stayed in a 6 berth, 2 double bunks and a single set of bunk beds, which for 5 of us was perfect. The room itself was large with plenty of space. The accessible shower/WC provided ...
