「Friendly staff and plentiful decent food」

「I can’t fault the Sure Hotel in Lockerbie. A beautiful building, fantastic en suite room, very clean and modern. Or host, the manager Glen couldn’t have been more helpful. Plenty of free secure parking and we ended up taking a lovely stroll into Lockerbie for dinner. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the hotel, great staff who are so helpful. We’ll definitely be going again. 」

「There were no disabled parking spots, only reserved ones for electric cars. I booked an executive room (112), and was surprised to note one of the windows looked onto the bin area and recycling, that has lights on most of the night and early morning noise. My bath had mould around the seals, and the bath plug had to be removed with a spoon, which dislodged more mould that floated in the bath. When I mentioned about changing my room before unpacking due to the view, there were no others...

「Absolute dump of a place above an abandoned bar. Reception was a bloke in a car. How this has been deemed fit for use I dont know. Avoid」

「This hotel provides a basic room. We did not get food here. (Breakfast cost extra) The room had a very strong mothball smell so we opened the window and left a floor fan running all night. Bedside areas need outlets to plug in phones so these rooms need updating. The sink did not have hot water. For the price this room was not worth it.」

「Kamer was prima, personeel goed maar de Wifi doet het niet in de kamer waardooor je naar de bar moet om te werken. Locatie meer geschikt en bedoeld voor bruoiloften en recepteis, niet zo zeer voor zakelijke reiziger op doorreis. Wel lekker rustig 」

I worried about the stairs as I have difficulty climbing some stairs and these were not taxing on my knees, Appreciate the stay at The Old Rectory.」
