It was a nice cozy room with delicious breakfast. The location is perfect to visit Lisbon and reach trains, busses or metro. The only negative point was the shower. Very little water came out of it and as a girl with long hair it took forever to wash the hair. But all in all we had a nice stay.

Établissement très bien situé, c’est en fait une auberge de jeunesse de 7/8 chambres « dans » un autre hôtel c’est assez drôle. Toilettes et douches sur le palier mais propres (2 douches femme, 3 douches homme) ; petit déjeuner servi de 8:30 à 10h assez simple mais faisant le job. Attention, c’est une auberge de jeunesse dans un « vieil » immeuble (bienvenue à Lisbonne) donc ce n’est pas totalement bien isolé, on entend le matin les autres chambres utilisées les douches etc mais pour des vacances, ça reste raisonnable !

Świetna lokalizacja - 5 minut prawie płasko do metra. Tuż obok przyzwoite restauracje oraz sklep. 4te piętro w budynku z windą. Miła obsługa, czysto i cicho. Pobyt w styczniu - zajęte były 3 pokoje więc nie było kłopotu ani z łazienką ani z jadalnią czy hałasem.

Хорошее место расположение. Нас встретил молодой человек все показал и объяснил правила проживания, выдал нам карту и рассказал что рядом по достопримечательностям. На кухне утром нас ждал завтрак, приятная девушка готовила блинчики. Утром приходил мужчина (видимо хозяин), который был менее приветлив. Все хорошо, но выдали только одно полотенце, думаю, что это должен быть комплект! Для лица и тела! В целом хостел рекомендую, но дня на два не больше.

Bien placé
Environnement correct et bien placé pour rayonner dans Lisbonne. Chambre petit déjeuner et literie correcte. Toilettes lavabo et douche sur le palier le tout collectif et genre camping... Beaucoup d’info Sur les visites de Lisbonne avec un plan très détaillé donné par José. Une vrai mine d’or !!! Dommage le petit déjeuner ne soit servi qu’a Partir de 8h30. Pour les visites et les lève tôt c’est un peu pénalisant...

Uważajcie na ten hostel!
Właściciel obiektu odwołał rezerwację na 2h przed naszym przyjazdem tłumacząc że nie stawiliśmy się na czas (godz. 19) mimo że check-in jest od godz. 14 do 23. Zostaliśmy z niczym i bez noclegu. Zwykłe chamstwo. Nie polecam tego typa.

1- Klient tej rezerwacji użył nieważnej karty kredytowej, aby zagwarantować rezerwację. To prawda Zameldowanie w Santa Marta odbywa się między 14 a 23 godziną. Refuge in Santa Marta nie ma całodobowej recepcji Z tego powodu wszyscy goście proszeni są o podanie przybliżonego czasu zameldowania. Klient wskazał między 17h a 18h godziną Czekamy na klienta do 19h. Ponieważ klient jeszcze nie przyjechał, zadzwoniłem do niego, aby dowiedzieć się, co się stało a klient poprosił mnie o to zmienić czas zameldowania po 23h i powiedziałem po 23h nie jest możliwe. Rezerwacja została anulowana, ponieważ: Klient tej rezerwacji użył nieważnej karty kredytowej Check-in po 23h.

Good location, facilities, service, and breakfast
An excellent and well-priced hostel conveniently located for central Lisbon. When I arrived the chap at the desk provided me with a city map and was kind enough to point out various places of interest and let me know what public transport would get me between them and the hostel, which saved me some Googling later. The room was nice - minimal, as one would expect - but the bed was comfy and there was enough storage space. The hostel's on the fourth floor of a building so you're away from the noise Breakfast is from 08:30-10:00 each morning. You get your own toast, cereal, fruit, and drinks and a member of staff cooks and serves (American) pancakes to those who want them. I was impressed with the quality. I had some reservations about using a shared bathroom but this was kept clean by staff and other guests. One of the two gents toilets had no lock on the door though, which made for some nervous experiences and is largely why I've given 4 stars rather than 5. A common/living room is available for people younger and trendier than I to hang out in until 23:00. It looked nice and well maintained if slightly hipster (there's a typewriter in there). Overall this represented a welcoming and good value option for visiting Lisbon and I'd probably visit again.

Super bem localizado, confortável, tranquilo e o José é excelente! Simpático e prestativo. Quero ser amiga do José e retornar muitas vezes. Capricho das meninas no serviço de pequeno almoço tbm merece atenção. Super recomendado.

Magnifique lieu de séjour pour toutes personnes
Ce lieu est extraordinaire pour découvrir Lisbon . En plein coeur de la ville, dans un quartier tranquille . Le logement est très accueil , José est un "aubergiste" très sympathique , soucieux de chaque personne , petits et grands sont considérés. Possibilité de prendre le petit déjeuner et manger sur place en respectant la propreté des lieux . Wifi dans le salon . TOUT EST SUPERBE A CONSEILLER SANS HESITATION . NOUS REVIENDRONS CERTAINEMENT

Great hostel, great location
This is a good hostel with a good breakfast. Great location. The noise from the streets at night was kind of loud though so bring ear plugs. I would stay here again.

Aufgrund der vielen positiven Bewertungen haben wir uns für dieses Hostel entschieden, doch leider waren wir sehr enttäuscht. Der Empfang war äußerst unfreundlich, sodass wir fast wieder gegangen wären! Nichts in dem Hostel hat richtig funktioniert, die Waschbecken waren verstopft, unsere Zimmertür ließ sich nicht richtig schließen und mein Sohn ist aus dem Hochbett gefallen, weil die seitliche Absperrung nur lose angebracht war! Wir waren vorher mehrere Wochen in Portugal in Hostels unterwegs und wissen, dass man keinen Hotelstandard erwarten darf, aber dieses Hostel war das Schlechteste auf unserer gesamten Reise! Allein die Lage ist wirklich gut und das Frühstück war auch nett zubereitet.

If I could recommend to other expedia.com partners, I would not recommend this customer. Non-sympathetic family This customer did not respect our work This customer spoiled one of the bathrooms This client left the walls of the room dirty with the feet of the son This customer took the room hangers this client spoiled one bed. We are available to help all our guests have a good experience in Lisbon. We are also available to solve problems that can happen inside the Refuge in Santa Marta. Unfortunately we have (infrequently) clients who do not respect our work, But its ok.

A respeito dos lenções, de facto não temos serviço de quartos como um Hotel visto que somos uma GuestHouse. Mas por 2€/cama, podia ter solicitado a troca dos lençois. Uma picardia--- o Sr. troca os lençois da sua cama, em casa, todos os dias? Gostei de o conhecer e a sua filha, obrigado pela sua reserva. Atentamente - José

Overall we had a good experience here. The hostel is very well located and the people there are very friendly and happy to give you information about Lisbon and things to do/see. They also have a tasty breakfast offered each morning at 9am with very yummy pancakes. We had an issue that was promptly resolved by the manager which was great. The rooms don't have private bathrooms but the bathrooms were clean. Overall it was a good stay as they make you feel at home.

Problème d'isolation personnels accueillants
Établissement qui pourrait être agréable si les chambres n'étaient pas aussi sonores. Les sanitaires devraient aussi être refaits complètement (joints de carrelages noirs - manque évident d'entretien). Le chambres sont petites mais correctes, le petit déjeuner suffisant rapport/prix qualité. Pour une chambre à ce prix minime on ne peut pas demander plus. Nous avions la malchance d'avoir un groupe d'hommes qui rentraient le soir un peu "chaud" et qui parlaient et riaient très forts dans le petit salon pendant au moins deux heures. Nous n'avons donc pas pu dormir avant qu'ils se couchent. Mais en contre-partie nous avions un bb qui se réveillait vers 7 h et qui devait gêner les personnes des chambres. Aucun personnel présent sur place la nuit. Sinon le personnel et le responsable sont sympathiques malgré un abord un peu rigide. Ils sont serviables et à l'affût de vos besoins. Donc propos à la fois négatifs et positifs. Le gros pb est l'isolation des chambres et les sanitaires très vieillots.

Cher Guest, Merci pour votre commentaire Hotels.com. Nous regrettons que votre séjour n'a pas été avec votre prévu. Nous notons également que certains clients réservent dans les Hostels, pour économiser de l'argent sur le voyage, L'Hostel a des règles et est pour les personnes qui respectent les règles et qui savent qu'ils partageront les espaces communs avec d'autres invités et n'auront aucun commodités d'un hôtel. En fait, vous avez réservé une chambre pour deux personnes. vous, votre mère (une femme avec un certain âge) et un bébé. et pour le bébé nous devions mettre un lit de bébé. Bien sûr, à cause du lit de bébé, la chambre est avec moins de place, bien sûr, vous vouliez économiser de l'argent, mais vous devez comprendre que si vous voyagez avec votre bébé et votre mère, ce serait une bonne idée de payer un peu plus et rester dans un hôtel. Nous comprenons que vous aimez les équipements d'un hôtel, c'est bien, mais nous sommes un GuestHouse, une Hostel. La règle principale dans l'auberge, aucun bruit n'est autorisé à partir de 23h00. Les garçons dont vous parlez ... J'étais à l'auberge ce soir-là, les garçons parlaient dans le salon. Cette nuit-là j'ai parlé avec les garçons pour leur rappeler notre règle et ils ont sympathiquement compris et ont quitté le salon et sont allés à la pièce. Donc ce n'était rien, comme vous l'avez expliqué dans votre commentaire, j'étais à l'Hostel ce soir-là. En tout cas merci pour votre réservation. Best Regards Refuge in Santa arta

Séjour simple et agréable.
Bon, faut le dire tout de suite : les sanitaires, c'est pas ça. Toilettes et douches dans la même petite pièce, de simples cloisons coulissantes en guise de porte, c'est pas d'une grande intimité, ni d'un grand confort, ni d'une hygiène exemplaire. Mais bon, pour qui n'est pas très regardant, ça passe. Et les reste est tout de même très joli, confortable, personnel chaleureux, accueillant et prévenant. Le mobilier et très coquet. José est très sympa et peut vous donner de précieux conseils (notamment sur les petits lieux secrets où écouter du Fado !). On a un peu l'impression d'être dans une pension de famille.

Bellissimo week end a Lisbona.
L'ostello è in una ottima posizione, vicino alla metropolitana e ai bus,anche muoversi a piedi è comodissimo per raggiungere il centro con una bella passeggiata.Si trova al 4°piano di un piccolo palazzo caratteristico,bagno in comune sempre pulitissimo,camera spaziosa e colazione ottima...proprietario e personale molto gentili e sempre disponibili::.grazie di tutto!!!

The good: The location of the hostel is excellent and the room was nice. The hostel is clean and the beds are comfy. It was not too loud. The bad: We were there in February, so it was a bit cold at night. We didn't like that we had to ask for everything at the reception, for example we had to ask to borrow the hair dryer every time we needed it. Also, breakfast was pretty bad (take into account that we come from a country where breakfast is a big meal, bigger than dinner). All in all, it's a nice hostel

Lastimável e inapropriado!
Péssima escolha! Reservei para os meus pais, mas não conseguiram nem ficar. O dono disse que o checkin seria a partir das 14, mas dependendo da disponibilidade poderia ser só as 20 horas!! Resultado? Tiveram que achar outro hotel em plena véspera do réveillon! Além disso, fica no 4 andar de escada, sem qualquer identificação no próprio prédio! Lastimável!

Estimados Senhores, Esta havendo um engano, este comentário é referente a outra propriedade. Porque o nosso check-in é das 14h ate as 24h. No nosso prédio existe elevador e esxiste tambem duas placas no exterior do edificio, a identificar o Refuge in Santa Marta como inclusive enviamos um email a todos os hospedes, com informações e mapas para ajudar a encontrar o Refuge in Santa Marta.

Buena Ubicación para conocer centro històrico
Si quieres conocer el centro histórico de Lisboa, este hospedaje tiene buena ubicación, pero tienes que coordinar muy bien la hora para que encuentres al que te va a dar las llaves de la habitación y no tengas inconvenientes.

Gracias por tu comentario Ediza, Si como no tenemos recepcion 24h es importante que nós indiquem la hora aproximada para el Check-in. Nosostros enviamos un correo para todos nuestros huespedes com informaciones e mapas para ayudar a encontrar el Refuge in Santa Marta como tambien, que nós indiquem la hora aproximada para hacer el Check-in. Tambien peidmos qu, en el caso que ocurra algun atraso por favor nos informem. Fue lo que ocurrio con nuestra Huesped Ediza nos informo que llegaria al Hostel entre las 8h am e las 9h am para dejar las maletas pero llego a las 15h. De qualquier forma gracias por reservar con nosostros.

A safe budget hostel
An ok hostel, you get what you pay for. Nice staff, good breakfast (considering it´s an inexpensive hostel), nice living room. Was rather damp inside, our towels were never dry (did get new ones when asked for them). No soundproofing, and as light sleepers it kept us awake a bit. The place is safe and we liked to neighborhood. Good service.
