We had a lovely stay at the 1908 hotel. The staff were wonderful, giving us the best recommendations to enjoy our time in Lisbon. The breakfast was delicious and the room (and hotel bed) was incredibly comfortable. 10/10 would recommend.

Comfortable room size, bed and bath. Helpful, polite staff. Clean and modern design. A little out of the high-end areas but always felt safe and relatively quiet though you do hear a slight rumble from the trolley. Complimentary breakfast was outstanding.

If you want to stay in a place with history and where rooms are clean and well equipped stay at 1908. Super nice views of the city as well as great breakfast spread and friendly staff. We only had one issue coming back late at night when no one was there to open but other than that it was great!

Absolutely enjoyed our stay here!!! The hotel upgraded our room, which was such a lovely surprise. The room was incredibly spacious, spotless and very comfortable throughout our stay. They also allowed us to check in early, which we really appreciated after arriving quite early in the morning. Housekeeping did an amazing job every day- the room was always tidy and well stocked. On our first night, they even surprised us with champagne and a fruit plate, which was such a thoughtful touch. We were staying for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday trip, so it made the experience feel extra special. Breakfast was included and we were really happy with the buffet selection every morning. The hotel is also in a great location, only around a 5-minute walk to Intendente metro station, making it very convenient to get around. Would highly recommend this hotel to others and would happily stay again!

Accidentally put me in nicer room, had to move to a room in front of elevator-lots of chatter outside my door. Sunday dinner was mediocre. The staff was wonderful. I am very impressed that the owners restored this fabulous building. It adds beauty and sophistication to a troubled party of town. Overall: conveniently located. Plaza side room for peace and quiet.

1908 Lisboa was a great experience for our stay in Lisbon. From the beginning the staff was pleasant and very helpful. Catarina and André, made us feel instantly welcome! They offered helpful tips and restaurant recommendations. At the bar Claudio and Helena were engaging and attentive. Would highly recommend!

Sometimes photos of a hotel on a website only tell you so much. This is the case with the 1908 Hotel Lisboa. What are its high points. Staff are friendly, helpful and full of good advice. The breakfast is excellent. Tick location as very good as it is only a short walk to Lisbon’s big squares tourist trap heart. It’s in an area that is part of older 19th-20th century Lisbon which is in the early stages redevelopment. The hotel is part of that change. One side of the hotel backs on to a main road into the city. The other onto a large triangle which we’ll call a square that has a number of good and relatively cheap restaurants on one side. Pricier and very good eateries are not too far away. Low point: The rooms and bathrooms are small (think Paris three star in which you can’t swing a cat). It has an eclectic clientele, or as my partner put it: “All ages. Everything from bohemian to chic pretending they are slumming it.” My test for hotels anywhere is: What is the likelihood that we would stay there again? I’d certainly give it shot. As my partner said: “In 10 years you won’t know this place.” That’s a good assessment.

Really nice hotel a short walking distance to the central touristic areas and with some good restaurant options nearby if you don’t want to walk far. Ask the friendly staff for recommendations - our best meal by far in Lisbon came from a staff recommendation.
