Lovely hotel

We had a lovely stay, after driving for 8 hours we couldn’t have hoped for a nicer hotel. Played some pool with my son at the free pool table and a bit of table football, also taught him how to play chess at the chess table. Food in the restaurant was really nice and the couldn’t complain about the breakfast buffet either. Very impressed.

Lovely and clean hotel. Our room was very cozy ( small) but comfortable. Staff were friendly & helpful. Free parking behind or on street near hotel. We were staying at the hotel to go to near by war memorials so we did not use the spa. We had the express breakfast which was 10 euros & it was okay.

Very nice hotel with comfortable room. Having the safe was an added bonus. We dined in the hotel restaurant on Friday night but then found it was fully booked on the Saturday night and closed on Sunday, which was a bit disappointing. It would have been good to have a fridge in the room and some milk to have with our tea.

We were in Lens for Cameroon vs. Senegal Friendly (football). The hotel was excellent and clearly very convenient if you are visiting the Louvre-Lens (which is definitely worth doing). Only negatives was choice of food in restaurant was quiet 'high-end' so nothing you can grab quickly and also was disappointed that the bar was closed at 10:30 when we got back from the game, though the receptionist helped us with coffee from the communal Nespresso machine in the lounge.

The rooms and meals were great but it was the staff that made our stay memorable. The front desk arranged all kinds of transportation and activities for us including up on a ladder adjusting the TV so we could watch World Cup Rugby. The dining room people were attentive and friendly. Even though our French was somewhat limited, we never felt that communication was a problem. Such a beautiful hotel, the rooms were extremely stylish with luxurious soaps and the fluffiest towels! The parking is a little weird, this parking info would have been handy to know before arrival. It is well situated for the Louvre Lens, a must see. A lovely boulangerie is a moment away, and the hotel restaurant is very good, and super dog friendly. There is a park nearby to walk your dog, but the space in the room is tight if your dog is not a miniature type. Also, access to a bin for their mess would be super handy. The main town is a little walk away. We had an issue with air con in our room, which was a shame, I’d be very happy to stay there again and recommend to others.

A fantastic modern hotel just a short walk from the museum, which is well worth a visit. The quietest air conditioning I have ever experienced! Ideal location for the football stadium too, which is 10-15 minutes walk. The town centre is a further 5-10 minutes away, but has very little to offer.

Fantastic boutique hotel in a fascinating area of Lens centred on the regeneration of a mining area and village. Great facilities (including free pool table and table football, very good bistro with excellent wine list and reasonably priced, and very clean and comfortable. Staff could not have been more helpful and our dogs were welcome (with lots of walking space for them. Thoroughly recommended

Super comfy but lacks a good breakfast experience

I must commend the Hotel Louvre Lens - Esprit de France for its excellent customer service and comfortable rooms that exuded a fair level of luxury and convenience. I thoroughly enjoyed these aspects of my stay. However, I must address a weak point that detracted from the overall experience - the breakfast. Considering the hotel's name, "Esprit de France," which evokes the culinary excellence for which France is renowned worldwide, the breakfast experience fell short of expectations. Given the caliber of the hotel, I had anticipated a truly exceptional breakfast, reflecting the culinary heritage of France. Unfortunately, the breakfast offered did not live up to this standard. I believe that a hotel of this stature should strive to provide a breakfast experience that matches its name and reputation. By enhancing the breakfast offerings to showcase the exquisite flavors and delights of French cuisine, the Hotel Louvre Lens - Esprit de France would undoubtedly elevate the overall guest experience. I hope my feedback serves as constructive input, inspiring the hotel to refine and improve its breakfast offerings to align with its esteemed name.
