The room was spotless the waitresses were very friendly, but what I liked best was location location location. Park your car and leave it. Everything is within walking distance, and Mt. DORA is a fabulous town.

Great location, but older hotel so with that you don't have the most comfortable rooms. The first room I was assigned had bad mold smell coming from the split a/c unit, which was caked in dirt if I look inside the vents. They gave me different room which which had no mold smell and looks like a new split ac unit. The new room was good. Getting the water temperature during shower time (tried at different times in the day) was extremely challenging. All of the of the staff was super courteous and super helpful.

The only nice thing about this hotel is the view of the lake — unfortunately, that’s it. The rooms were old, poorly maintained, and not clean at all. Definitely not comfortable and far from what you would expect from a hotel stay. Service was terrible. Staff seemed uninterested and unhelpful, and basic requests were either ignored or handled very poorly. There was no sense of hospitality. The food was awful. Low quality, badly prepared, and completely overpriced for what was offered. Overall, this hotel relies entirely on its lake view while failing in every other aspect. I would not stay here again and do not recommend it to anyone.

On Dec 25, they told us at 10:17 am that breakfast was over at 10:15. We were departing to Miami by car and asked where we could get coffe and they sent us to a closed coffee shop. We did not encounter, in our four or five exchanges at the desk, a pleasant person or one willing to give information. They all need a course in. Civilit, specially during Xmas time.

"The rooms are clean, but the smell is quite uncomfortable, which could make it difficult to fall asleep. The hotel staff, however, is very welcoming. I understand that it’s a historic building, but the renovations, at least in the room we stayed in, could definitely be improved—100% better—so that guests feel more comfortable. For that reason, I cannot recommend it to anyone. On a positive note, the grounds around the property are well-kept, and the location is ideal if you plan to visit the downtown area."

The location and atmosphere was amazing. Although I booked last minute and room choices were limited, we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The staff were very accommodating and kind, and the lobby was a great place to hang out in the morning with the complimentary coffee
