Good sized room well kept Limited menu due to chef leaving recently. What was available was varied to suit most tastes What was served was well cooked tasty and obviously freshly prepared. One of the best meals for a hotel of this level i have ever had. Looking forward to trying out an full menu on a future visit

Check in went smooth but it felt a bit rushed. Room wasn't hoovered on closer inspection and bathroom floor wasn't clean. As we were were heading straight out we informed staff the next day, the floor had been hoovered on our return but bathroom floor was untouched.

I was at a lovely room with plenty of space and good amenities but the shower head was mouldy and mostly blocked. It is a nice place and something like this really made the visit less enjoyable.

Comfy stay

This was just an overnight stop, but I would recommend the hotel highly. The room and bathroom were excellent and the bed was very comfortable. The self service buffet breakfast was very generous Such a shame that the owners can’t operate the bar/restaurant anymore due to energy costs.

I cannot understand why this is a four star hotel ! It does not have a proper dining room. Dinner in a dark and dingy bar and breakfast in a cafe. It is not properly licenced either. The bar closes at 9pm. I only found this out when I returned from a gig in Lanark at 10.30 hoping for a beer, only to find it locked up. I will not be going back and I certainly will not recommend it to anyone.

Enjoyed my stay here. Suggest trying to get a room facing the Courtyard. Some may find the traffic noise disturbing. Great bathroom in my room with a king bed. Had a spa!

Good hotel but couple of problems.

Noise due to proximity to M74 motorway. Room had damp patch on roof. There was a constant drpping sound. And there was a massive green fire escape light which lit up the room all night. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great.
