"We stayed one night in the glass igloo during autumn, so the SnowHotel was still under construction and, according to one of the staff, set to reopen in a few weeks. Even so, the experience was lovely and memorable. The igloo was cozy and warm, though a bit tight for three people. At night, we didn’t get to see the northern lights or stars, but the view of the moon and quiet Arctic sky was peaceful in its own way.
The pop-up ice bar was a fun surprise — I had a lingonberry gin there and it was fantastic! The shared sauna beside the restaurant was also a great way to relax before bed. Although we had to leave early for Tromsø and missed breakfast, the reception staff thoughtfully prepared a packed meal for us.
The weather wasn’t ideal, but that’s part of the Arctic charm. Overall, it was a unique experience and the staff made it even better. I’d still give them 5 stars! 🌙"
