The team were really friendly and accommodating. They let me check in early after a phone call, offered good recommendations for around the area, and were good chat at breakfast.
Had all the amenities I needed in the room including hairdryer and drink glasses. Breakfast was simple but lovely. The atmosphere was friendly and comfortable, I felt very at home.
Thank you for a great short stay!
Warm welcome from the staff, clean room, nice shared living room space. Nice 10-15 minute walk into the centre of town along a pretty canal. Would stay here again.
We had a comfortable stay. The room had the amenities we required and the host was super friendly and helpful. The choice at breaksfast was fairly limited but we were fine. On the surface the room was clean but there were quite a few cobwebs around the bedside tables which we noticed when we plugged in our devices.

Spotless throughout, some lovely touches - fresh flowers, fruit, biscuits and sweets.
Very friendly and welcoming staff. A good selection of foods for the continental breakfast.
Lovely house very friendly owners. I was told everything I needed to know, on arrival. I was in a back bedroom and had no problem with traffic. Single room is nice size with nice bathroom.
The price I was charged was good value. If I have to stay at Lancaster again this will be my first choice. Big thank you to the owners.
Such a thoroughly clean and meticulously maintained property. I was staying in Lancaster for a conference and found this such a wonderful stay. Gillian is such a thoroughly friendly and helpful host. I recommend this property, Regards Mark Briskey
Nice homely feel with extra touches eg free fruit and sweets, lounge area. Breakfast good - nice not to have to force a cooked breakfast down. Very accomodating with key as i was delayed a number of hours with traffic. Good value for money and free parking 2 minutes away.
Very friendly welcome, informative of the local area, generally great customer service and interested in my travel experience. Great cleanliness and room addition extras if required such as fruits, biscuits etc
Great location- only 10 to 15 minutes walk to Lancaster centre either by the scenic canal during the day or main road at night. No real need for a taxi or bus.
Definitely recommended.
I needed somewhere to start for an event in Lancaster. I first looked at the 'usual' Hilton and Premier Inn, prices were very high with next to no service with a box standard generic room with no soul.
Lancaster Townhouse, I loved and love the name, which first got my attention is completely different from all of the above.
Booking was great, via Expedia, too easy!
I got welcomed by the host upon arrival and taken for a tour around the residence. It was delightful, especially as I first saw the stars from what looked like an American flag in the hall, a fancy black guitar in the dining area ahead of a very cosy and warm living room. My room was exquisite! I'd already informed part of my party for the event, that I would most definitely stay here again, and recommended they do the same. One of the party was astonished at how reasonable the cost summary was, as was I, to the near to over £100 from the aforementioned box standard hotels and Inns. The experience on both days, made what I had to encounter later on, more easier to deal with, truly. Well done, again! JP
I booked a 2 night stay at the Lancaster Townhouse. I was warmly greeted by Stewart who made me feel very welcome at his B&B. The single room was cosy, clean and comfortable. A simple yet delightful breakfast was served in the morning. I enjoyed my stay and will book again.
A quaint hotel perfect for a few nights in Lancast
This place is wonderful! I had a room at the top and it was comfortable and clean. For me, it was just the right amount of space with a good size bathroom, but I could imagine if there are two people in here, some might find it on the smaller side. The bed was nice and had lots of pillows. The bathroom was clean and great for a nice shower. The owner is friendly and easygoing. I enjoyed having the space downstairs to read a bit. Also, being outside the city center, was nice for me as the morning walk in was pleasant (best to walk along the canal or the side road). Other guests in the place were quiet as well and the stay is one I truly enjoyed.
I stayed 3 nights while on an induction at Lancaster University. It was an inexpensive place, pleasant and sufficient for what I wanted. It is not in the town itself and although during the day the 25-minute walk by the river or the canal is pleasant, at night the safest option seemed to be walking along a main road which was less so.
Breakfast had a variety of things including vegetarian and vegan options.
Due to its location and environs, this is not an ideal place if you intend to spend a lot of time in the hotel. However if you want a quiet, clean, comfortable and inexpensive place to stay for a few nights while on business or when touring the area, it is good.

Liked: Cleanliness
Owner pleasant.
Room was small but clean, warm and comfortable.
Toilet very clean, handbasin very small.
Lots of stairs.
TV small and on top of a wardrobe!
Found out late evening that controls didn't work.
Breakfast was very Spartan continental and
disappointing.
No cheese, cold meat etc. only toast, yoghurt and cereals.
Orange juice, tea & coffee to drink.
A bit far from town centre.
