"This multi level accommodation was great for our family, however, not suitable for those who have limited mobility. My 90 year old grandmother was limited to her basement room as the steep stairs to the mid level living room was too much for her. Great for a small young family. "

"Max’s Roost was lovely! Clean, bright. It feels more like an AirBnB because there isn’t an in-person reception, but the communication was good and effective. There is a nice organized binder in the room to answer any questions you might have. My only warning is the bedframe is VERY creaky. If you turn over, it’s going to creak—very loudly. It’s alarming. Otherwise, it’s comfortable. At the restaurant below (which we highly recommend), some sort of mechanical noises started somewhere between 5-6am—guessing they were prepping for their delicious breakfast service. So, to do it over again, I would have put in earplugs. Would recommend for sure though-great location. "

"Beautiful setting. Quaint & historic inn. Conveniently within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, etc. Clean, comfortable, cozy rooms. Outstanding staff. Two restaurants on property with varied menus. "

"One of our favorite trips. We come once a year. Amenities are awesome. The area is great. Quite a distance from other areas but that is literally the only downfall. The rooms are amazing. Pool is always clean. "

"Absolutely loved how close it was to so many trail running/hiking places. The resort itself was peaceful and the room we had was a great size and complete with kitchen appliances and cookware. Very clean! "

"This house was absolutely lovely. We really enjoyed our stay. It was a perfect house to relax after a long day. We all slept well in comfortable beds and the kitchen was perfect to cook in. "

"We had a wonderful couple of days here! Loved the many trails they have, the pond with kayaks and life vest , various size, all available to use at no cost. Cabin was very clean and perfect size for 2 adults and a pup. Hopefully we can return next year and plan a longer trip- lots of things to do in the area as well! "
