My room was comfortable, clean and perfectly refreshed when I returned from a day by the pool. The manager Uma was always accommodating with any request we had. My 10 nights with friends at the Outrigger went too fast. "

"Peaceful, friendly, and right on the beach – perfect stay in Lamai We stayed at Sand Sea Beach Resort in Lamai for our anniversary and absolutely loved it. The whole place has such a peaceful, relaxing vibe — quiet but still close enough to everything you need. We booked the Royal Suite with Seaview, which was spotless, spacious, and literally steps from the beach. Having our own private sun loungers right out front was perfect. The staff even decorated the bed with a “Happy Anniversary” message and provided slippers and bathrobes — a really thoughtful touch. The staff were all incredibly friendly and courteous, always smiling and quick to reply to messages on WhatsApp whenever we needed anything. Breakfast was pretty simple — a few rotating hot dishes (usually a Thai option, pancakes or French toast, and sausages), plus an egg station and continental bits like croissants, pastries, and coffee. Lunch and dinner, though, were brilliant. The food was delicious, with both Thai and European options that were all super tasty and fairly priced. The beach area was clean and well maintained, Wi-Fi was decent (not lightning fast but fine for browsing), and the laundry service was great too. The location couldn’t be better — you literally step out of your room onto the sand, and you’re less than 10 minutes from a 7/11 and about 15 from the Lamai Night Market. It’s the ideal mix of peaceful and convenient. Great views, excellent staff, peaceful stay!"

"I loved staying with them and getting to know them. They are lovely, honest, hard working people and their property is well maintained, clean and spacious. If I could change a few things. Do not allow smoking in the balconies. The rest of us who don’t smoke suffocate with windows open and no one came to Thailand to stay with windows closed. Parking bikes outside people’s entrances is another issue. There were times I didn’t have access to my property especially as I needed to bring my bicycle in because bikes were parked outside. Not to mention the noise and general disturbance from continuous parking in and out as it was right outside the balcony etc. having said that, I would happily return and would be even happier to see some changes taking into account the above. See you soon."

"The hotel is on a lovely beach, a short walk to restaurants and bars in a quiet location, staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent for me as I like an English breakfast followed with a bowl of yoghurt fresh fruit, nuts/ seeds after a fresh cup of coffee from the coffee machine. The hotel restaurant in on the beach front a plus. The rooms are a few years old, but are nice with a comfortable bed and a balcony overlooking the green walkways which connects the hotel complex. Would I stay here again, yes it gets my approval. The only problem was the shower water pressure was a bit erratic. I had a fantastic holiday with my son here who also loved it."

"Really enjoyed our stay here. Staff SO friendly and helpful. Great location: right on a beautiful beach (golden sand, clear warm water, no rocks & no seaweed). Nearby are lots of bars/cafes/restaurants to walk to as well as Lamai night time food market (huge choice!) with nightly live music, cocktails etc. Hotel itself serves great food (huge menu) in it’s restaurant & we even had dinner at a table in the middle of the beach (private/beautiful: no extra but u can pay more for fancy stuff). Wed night was a bbq & salads etc with a crazy fire show after: def recommend! Good prices! Reviews prior made me nervous but it was so much better. Comfy bed (best of 14 hotels on our tour!) robes, slippers, toiletries & waters/tea/coffee. Towels for pool/beach given daily. Bathroom a bit dated but still adequate. Many plug sockets. Main bedroom lovely with fridge, lovely lighting and balcony/chairs/table and drying rack on it. Safe area. Pool area really good (long hours). When we checked out the hotel stored our bags for free and supplied us with fresh towels and a changing area with showers for free. Can’t believe is not 4 star & our time there/whole hotel & island experience was 10/10! "

"We stayed for one week during July. Villa is beautiful and comes well equipped for two people, although we largely ate out at the restaurants nearby. Pool a good size, and enough sun loungers at all times for us to sit around it alongside other guests. Staff are very friendly, and came round with candles when the island had a power cut during a storm. The only point that could be improved is the breakfast offering. Food tasty but limited in options for guests staying 7 nights. However, we did venture out for breakfast on a couple of mornings and found some fantastic cafes within a short walk. Would highly recommend CHUZ villas."

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Jasmine Samui. The location is excellent, right on Lamai Beach and also close to the market and restaurants. The staff were amazing and the food at breakfast was terrific. The only room for some improvement would be updating the sun loungers on the beach and by the pool. We look forward to coming again."

"Great place. Rooms are a little on the old side, beds are a little hard, but rooms are clean! Staff was wonderful! Grounds were kept up beautifully! Food was great. Happy hours even better! One complaint that I don’t think they can control is the solicitors in the beach. They are relentless, that got old quick! "
