"The hotel was ok. Decent size room, clean and a good location for the town centre / short walk from the station. It did fail on a few fronts for me though: the room was very warm, the sink was slow to drain, the loo took several flushes, even just for a piece of tissue paper, the towels were quite small, there was no plug anywhere near the bed, the floorboards in the room above were very squeaky, the reception never seemed to be staffed meaning check in was unnecessarily slow and, not the hotel's fault of course, but it seemed like workmen started digging up the road at about 11pm. So, overall, decent enough for the price but lots of little niggles which let it down somewhat."

"The booking included a damages deposit which I was not aware of. It was at the very bottom of the booking page which nobody reads, this should have beeb at the top and made clear within the overall price. The shower was barely warm and very noisy, the rooms were old and shabby, there was some underfoot bits in the carpet."

"Nice breakfast but options of eggs would be nicer than just fried. Great to have a spa but is heavily used and busy at key hours. Room nice and quiet. Staff helpful and friendly "

"Because of my wife's disability we had an Accessible Room. The room size was great , but the layout wasn't good. The place to hang your clothes was just 2rails and clothes didn't hang properly, there was only 1 chair at a very small table instead of 2. Admitted they supplied another one when we asked. The TV was only viewable from laying on the bed, it should have been able to swivel to view it from the chair and there was nowhere to hang the towels in the bathroom. Food Menu in the Bar wasn't a great choice either. Prices expensive for food and drink. "
