"The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. I appreciated the cool room during this heat wave and delicious coffee provided in the room. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay while exploring the Lausanne area."

"The hotel is right by the station which is very handy for a multi centre holiday and it is very central for everything you may want to do in Bern. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The roof terrace is beautiful and the rooms are really well equipped really comfy beds and brilliant showers. We didn’t eat at the restaurant so can’t comment on that, breakfast was 40 chf per head which seemed a lot so we used local cafes instead. There was also a 200 chf deposit per night … we were there 3 nights and had 2 rooms so 1200 chf and that was unexpected and seemed steep but it was returned within a couple of days of us leaving- something to be prepared for from a cashflow point of view."

"Classic grand old hotel. A little dated but nice. The indoor outdoor pool was fantastic. but be aware kids are only allowed in for a few hours per day (good news/bad news depending on who you are traveling with). Its a couple blocks away from the beach - some hotels are closer and have better views - but its not really a big deal."

"Friendly and helpful staff; clean well-appointed rooms. We arrived early and were given a choice of taking a warmer street facing-room immediately or waiting for a cooler courtyard-facing room. We took the street-facing. It was fine, although the air con wasn’t the strongest. Appreciated being given the choice."

"Super friendly and helpful staff upon arrival. It's a small hotel in reception, but the rooms are a good size. The airconditioning was great. Room and bathroom very clean. Our view wasn't good, but that didn't really matter. Location was fantastic - near to the train station. A wonderful stay and I'd definitely go back."

"Very nice modern and clean room. Location was good and breakfast was excellent, with a wide assortment of hot and cold food. Beds were very comfortable and it was nice and quiet. Convenient for the bus, which was free thanks to the complimentary travel card."
