Johnston Canyon Lodge and Bungalows

Johnston Canyon Lodge and Bungalows

10/10 Excellent
"Location and character- Johnston Canyon Cabins and Bungalows captures these wonderfully. You are away from the chaos and noise of Banff town and yet close enough to drive there with ease for groceries. Well-situated between the national park sites in Lake Louise and Banff town, and directly adjacent to the marvelous Johnston Canyon. Rustic yet updated. We wish we could have stayed longer than our four nights and hope to return someday. (Will note there is no onsite laundry capability, self-service or otherwise.)"

Emerald Lake Lodge

Emerald Lake Lodge

10/10 Excellent
"Friendly and helpful staff, as always. Gorgeous views. Lots of tourists this time of year, more than we've ever seen before, especially near the bridge and canoes (to be fair, there isn't really anything the Lodge can do about that). Luckily, the Clubhouse is in the perfect location for guests to hangout (either on chairs or in the hot tub) away from the crowds while still soaking in the views. The crowds died down and it was really quiet and calm by around 7pm. Brought our dog with us and she loved the dog bed and treats provided. The trail maintenance/new boardwalk they're building near the back of the lake is incredibly well done! Also, dinner was exceptional."
