"It was a great location. We did find the car park a little bit tight and tricky to get into (as the road was fairly busy when we arrived). The cottage was great and had all we were after and the downstairs bathroom was great for my elderly Mum. The two single beds mattresses were a bit past their best so the only thing I’d suggest to improve the property would be an update of those. Otherwise it was a great place to stay right on the river."

10/10 Excellent

"We have stayed in this Hotel on many occasions. It has recently been taken over by new owners, so improvement works are underway but did not interfere with our enjoyment. Disappointed to discover at check out we had to pay for parking at £15 per day. This was not the case in the past, when parking was free for residents. Good location with beautiful views of Lake Windermere"

"This was the second time we’ve stayed at Keswick Country House Hotel and it will not be the last! Beautiful building, fantastic breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff, AMAZING cocktails, bunnies on the lawn! I had to take away one star because the toilet roll is terrible (single ply, practically dissolves in your hand) and housekeeping didn’t replace all our towels despite being left in the bath, but they are tiny, fixable things, and, like I said, staff are incredibly helpful and happy to help."

"Great location Very good staff. The Winander section has its own very helpful staff and breakfast with great views. The room we had was a very spacious and well designed. My only comment was a shaving mirror would have been useful given the distance to the actual mirror. The spa access for hotel Guests was somewhat more limited than expected and the outdoor areas were completely separate and require extra payment. What is left in the swimming pool area is a little bit more limited than similar properties in the area we have tried."
