Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni

"We stayed here for four nights —-booked two rooms for our family. Some of the highlights include: 1) great, fantastic location which is short walking distance to ferry, shops and restaurants. 2) we enjoyed the breakfast buffet, and beautiful swimming pool every day. 3) super comfortable beds and well air conditioned rooms. 4) staffs at the breakfast, pool and concierge are super attentive, warm and helpful. The concierge booked a private boat tour for us and provided useful advices on day trips and ferry schedules. The only and the biggest low light was that the casual restaurant (La Goletta) was super disappointing. The food was boring, plain, and poorly prepared . The restaurant waiters were cold and stern. Given the price, the restaurant felt way below our expectation. Recommend to stay at the hotel but eat elsewhere."

"The hotel was beautiful and the best location. Our room was supposed to have a lake view which it had however there was a huge tree that blocked almost all the view of the lake. I wish the hotel had a pool. The breakfast was outstanding. Lots of varieties. Overall I would recommend it. The only thing I wish it had was a swimming pool."

"A slice of heaven in Bellagio. We stayed three nights at Hotel Belvedere and will absolutely be back. The property and amenities are fabulous. Originally we planned to be out and about more in Como but the hotel was so great we didn’t want to leave. The pool is perfect for lazy days and the food is exceptional. The concierge was great for arranging private boat trips and drives around the lake. The hotel offers a shuttle so you can enjoy Bellagio without the steps. The rooms are well designed with stunning lake views. I wouldn’t change a thing!"

"We cannot recommend this property and the wonderful people highly enough!! From the moment we arrived everyone treated us exceptionally. The information, helpfulness and care they all took to ensure our honeymoon stay was perfect was endless. The room was immaculate, building gorgeous, view impeccable. We had to leave early in the day due to the train strikes, the team supported us with takeaway breakfast as we left. From start to finish it was above and beyond. We cannot thank everyone enough for their help. We highly recommend and will continue to highly recommend this beautiful property, gorgeous Bellano and location of this property to the train station and ferry to explore all that Lake Como has to offer. Ps the Pistachio creme cornetto is sublime."

"Room was great as a base to explore. We were only there for a quick breakfast and to sleep but beds were comfy, room quiet but could do with some modernisation of the bathroom shower. Overall a good hotel, close to San Giovanni station and a short 10 minute walk to the centre of Como. Breakfast typical of most hotels in Italy and would happily stay here again."

"-Room cleaned every day -Staff was friendly -Air conditioning wasn’t functioning properly When too hot you can not reset the gage for the right temperature -the hair dryer was making noise and it was dangerously hot -hygiene, I asked for new tea cup, the cleaner took my cups in bathroom washed and gave it to me. I was shocked, I don’t know what to say. -toilets bowl was clean but the back of the toilet seat yellow poo stains, hairs. And I saw they were cleaning the room and all the new bad sheets were on floor when they making look nice and tidy. -at back of the cafeteria they don’t seems like have a dishwasher, staff was washing up plates and cups a quick job. After seeing all this I don’t feel comfortable eating, or sleeping. So! I asked not to clean my room and I bought my own products to clean surfaces and toilet and bath. I bought my own bed sheet and slept on it, because my skin coming out with small spots. I gave 4 star because staff was nice and welcoming but the main points of hygiene was really missing."
