Buenaventura Grand Hotel & Great Moments - All Inclusive

"First impression has always been opening the door and get to smell the room as soon as I walk in. It was a very pleasant feeling to smell the fresh lemony scent. Room was immaculate and I couldn’t get enough of how well kept this place was. Floors are beautiful and house keepers work so hard to keep those floor looking great. Food is delicious and staff is always making sure you aren’t missing anything. It’s very close from the malecon and shopping centers. Everyone at the hotel was very attentive to our needs and made us feel welcome at all times. I got no complaints on anyone and that makes me want to come back and recommend this place to everyone I know."

"Beautiful rustic style, walking distance to the beach. Close to many restaurants, Starbucks across the street, local vendors on the same street too. Great, clean spot. The hotel also has a restaurant. Second story has an outdoor shower to rid of sand from the beach. You can rent beach towels and borrow an umbrella in case it rains. Overall I was very happy with my room and loved taking pictures of every detail in the place. Very clean, staff was great and very polite."

"We enjoyed the proximity to town and to the airport. We also liked the variety of dining options, including the snack bar and the cevicheria. The facility was clean, the pools were great, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The room A/C worked well and the beds were relatively comfortable. We didn’t use the tennis courts but they looked great and are in excellent condition. We particularly liked the Italian à la carte restaurant. Our room was very clean but could use some upgrading/maintenance. We appreciated having a balcony to dry wet swimsuits. The beach is narrower than in Nuevo Vallarta but is sandy and there are loungers. Unfortunately there are no palm trees for shade, and beach umbrellas are only available for rent from 3rd party vendors. The beach drops off after a few feet and has a bit of an undertow, but the water is clean and we still enjoyed the waves. There are lots of umbrellas around the pool areas. We liked the whole experience overall and felt it was good value. I would suggest that the hotel advertise the evening entertainment more and put a clearer description in the guest program because it was quite good but not well-attended other than the Disney night. The cevicheria also could use more highlighting because it is a very nice feature of this hotel, and the tostadas were delicious. Special thanks to the omelette station staff, Guadalupe in the buffet, and to Daniel in the pool area, but all of the staff were great."

"This place is so beautiful and unique. It really felt very local and authentic. BUT, the reviews are all true about how steep the hills are. Me and my partner underestimated it, and even as regularly active people we struggled to walk up these hills. Be aware that Uber drivers will also be hesitant and slightly annoyed at not only the steepness, but also the many potholes. We also had a few issues in the room, our toliet leaked, the balcony door had an open crack, and there was a hole in the wall that allowed lizards in. The toliet and balcony door was resolved immediately, and we honestly didn’t mind anything else. It was a really beautiful property and we felt very safe and relaxed. Breakfast was very light but lovely. We really enjoyed our time here!"

"Is a great place to stay, clean and neat, but got there on a Sunday and the AC was not working, called several times but they did not respond and didn’t fix it until Monday in the afternoon."
