If you want to wake up to the sound of birds singing and a large walking path through the jungle without all the crowds - this is the hotel for you. Our stay at Hotel Faro Arenal was absolutely fantastic, from the amazing staff to the delicious food. Our cabin was comfortable and cozy, with plenty of fresh linens and towels and our own personal AC unit that worked so well (but was often not needed thanks to the shade from the surrounding trees and large personal porch to relax). We loved the location, centrally located to La Fortuna and the national parks and adventure zones, while remaining quiet and surrounded by friendly locals and backed onto protected land. What a beautiful oasis. We can't wait to be back.

The location for this hotel was great. There is a good soda around the corner and the coffee/chocolate tour down the road is worth going to. Breakfast was great. There is lots of safe parking. That being said the room was just a room with a very hard noisy bed. There was wifi and A/c. We had an ant problem in our room. There are no toiletries or hot water. With all of the hotel options in the area I would probably choose a different hotel next time.

More than anything, I am thoroughly impressed with the kind of hospitality they provided. I usually don’t write reviews but this I decided I have to. We were there for an overnight and next morning had to leave early. Breakfast was included but we were leaving 30 min early, we were waiting in the lobby and they asked us to have breakfast and when we said we don’t have time, they gave fresh fruits of varieties. Then we were delayed by the taxi by few min and when we mentioned entire crew got into kitchen made full breakfast for us, 4 of us, they packed and gave us the bag. I had never seen such love from any hotel.

The location was good because we had a car . It was nice and quiet except for when it rained and the rain would hit the roof which was made out of tin so it was very very loud and hard to sleep the first night. It was a beautiful location and grounds. We wanted to swim but didn’t know the hours of the pools and it kept raining so it ended up to be fine . I wish there was a list of info of when you get into the room . Like a welcome letter with all the info. The main guy was nice and helpful but it’s nice to be informed better . The chef was great . They serve breakfast is included but they had dinner for a fee but it was cheap and yummy. Overall is was a great place to stay.

Staff was excellent. The location is away from the main drag and not really walkable but it’s a cool spot. Awesome Soda spot just around the corner. Our 3 night stay was good. Would recommend.

There was no hot water in the shower and barely cold water as well. In the middle of the night there was no one at the reception. When we made check out, had to wait more than half hour until someone will come to the reception. The hotel manager saw that I was upset from waiting and just was laughing at me. Very poor service and attitude.

La comida excelente, la pizza a la leña de lo mejor 10/10. Limpieza y comodidad en las habitaciones. El único “problema” que tuvimos fue el wifi, era intermitente y muy lento. De ahí en fuera muy buen lugar y muy cerca de las cataratas de la fortuna.
