Kyoto Kamanza Hotel is a great place to stay. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious. It's in a really convenient location—close to restaurants, convenience stores, and public transport. There's even Nijo castle in walking distance, which is a nice bonus. It’s a cozy, boutique-style hotel that’s perfect if you want a quiet, comfortable spot while exploring Kyoto.

Fairly new hotel with spacious rooms in a very quiet residential area yet close to Nijo Castle. Bus stops and a metro station were within easy walking distance. There are also a grocery store, a 7/11 and a bakery nearby so we bought everything for breakfast there. There is a small fridge in the room which is very convenient. I highly recommend this hotel.

Liked that access to additional amenities are outside of the rooms. Rooms are cleaned every four days which is good for the environment. Good clean understated hotel. Perfect for a stay where most of your time is spent outdoors.

We liked that it was quiet, great amenities, room was small but had everything we needed. Staff was unobtrusive and easy. The only thing we didn't like is that it is not very close to any attractions, but it was easy to catch a taxi to get where we wanted to go.

Late check in was very easy through a lock box system. You just have to request this service ahead of time as the front desk staff leaves at 8pm. That being said, the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a very safe location and quite walkable to most places. I would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel.

Amazing Gem!

Lovely quiet hotel close to Nijo Castle (4 blocks) and 20 mins walk from Nishiki Market; great location. Minimal staff and more self service but that makes for an unbeatable price for the quality of room. The room is huge, full size king bed, bathtub and closet. Has a beautiful combination of traditional and modern design touches like Japanese screens and dimmable mood lighting in the headboard. 24/7 locked lobby entrance for extra security too. Would absolutely recommend!
