We have returned to this hotel many times over two decades, so have seen many changes in and around the hotel and Krabi beach. The breakfast buffet overlooking the beach and islands is undoubtedly its best feature. Friendly and willing staff come a close second, and the quiet secluded pool with well-established vegetation and palms wraps up its best points. This is an old hotel and, despite recent revamps, still remains a bit tired - if you accept this flaw due to its longevity, then all the benefits can be enjoyed! We will certainly stay again..

This is a small owner run boutique hotel with a nice little bistro attached. Rooms spacious, comfortable and clean. Enjoyed the location, with short walk to night market and restaurants on the Main Street through old Chiang Mai.

The most wonderful way to celebrate our 30th anniv

Wonderful and friendly service, smack in the centre of town yet quiet, breakfast facing the beach, mature landscaping, firm and comfortable bed and linens, reasonably priced, currently being upgraded. Except for some slippery and sharp-edged tiles, what’s there not to like?

On arrival there was no hot water! The room was dark, no privacy when on the balcony. Location was good and staff was very helpful and pleasant.

Old outdated hotel. Noisy personnel slamming on doors all through the morning. The photos are much better than what the property really is. Location is good though and breakfast buffet almost on the beach, are the two positive facts. Need renovation urgently

The property was decent, definitely aging. The room had enough space, but the bathrooms need improved cleaning or updating. We had a room on the first floor, street side so it was slightly noisy, but we were there for only 1 night. THe staff was friendly, but not very helpful when we needed directions around.

TL; DR: I HIGHLY recommend this property. Location: Perfect, steps away from the beach, and a walking street. While the hotel is in a high-traffic walking area, I found the venue quiet and peaceful. Staff: Accommodating and kind. Especially a woman named Hong (front desk staff). I had an issue with the safe box (the previous guest left it locked), and she came right away to fix it. They allowed me to leave my door key at the front desk whenever I went out. Room: Beautifully decorated and clean. I enjoyed the layout and the balcony. The bed was so comfortable.I found the room quiet; however, you could hear some noise only if loud guests were outside in the hallway. Bathroom: There is a separate room for the toilet and shower. Both were clean with hot water! Pool: Wonderful. The perimeter around the pool had lounging chairs and a few hammocks. Food: Two food spaces are adjacent, facing the beach. Breakfast: Impressive. There were both Thai and Western options. They had an omelet and pancake station. There were also baked goods, bread to toast, yogurt, and fresh fruit. Seperate Restauraunt: I think this is a separate business from the hotel. It offers various fruit shakes, coffee, and healthy food options. It's a bit pricey and is quite busy. Some people walk in off the street before they leave on a boat to head out to the islands. I stayed two nights and tried to extend my stay because I liked it so much!

Nice place to stay

Phra Nang had a great location right by the beach and with all restaurants,bars,shops, etc. right next door. Hotel was very clean, and staff was friendly and helpful.

The location is perfect, right by the beach and near the long boat stops and easy to get everywhere from here… Ideal location. Outside of the hotel is very pretty but the rooms are very dated. Beds rock hard. Swimming pool does not really get any sunshine so great for sitting in the shade but not enough seating around the pool. Breakfast is also very limited - Pretty much Eggs & bread…but enough to start the day but go early as otherwise no tables left.

Great hotel in awful Ao Nang beach !!

Clean accommodation beds comfortable staff very friendly, we only stayed for a matter of hours as we arrived at 10pm and left at 8.30 so didn’t get to use the pool etc but I would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area. The area on the other hand was horrendous.. cheap, nasty commercialised, cannabis shops every few yards smell everywhere was overwhelming.. I guess it depends on what you are looking for. We were just in transit but in terms of the hotel it was excellent

Super dirty and outdated. The entire hotel smells like sewage, the room smells like mold, water leaking from every crack. Shower looks like it hasn’t been washed in ages. Disgusting place.
