"The staff were friendly and the breakfast was simple (green salad, two egg fries, bread with butter and jam, fruits, and a pot of coffee or black tea) but delicious. Personally I liked Peppermint’s breakfast better than buffet breakfast, because we ate everything that’s served. No waste, so eco-friendly. Another thing we liked was a nearby museum. "We stayed for one night. The staff provided excellent service, although they don't speak English well. The room was spacious and clean. There is a kitchen and washing machine with dryer, which are suitable for long stays. 30 mins drive from Karuizawa Station. In winter, the road becomes slippery due to snow and ice, so drive carefully."
