"First thing is that this hotel has 2 separate buildings. So choose the first one near the train station as this has the reception. Made the mistake of going to the second one…which was quite confusing and hilarious at the same time… Food: breakfast is roughly cold cuts of meat and very few hot choices which is a letdown. I think this is more of a German thing. Staff: needs to smile more and be more accommodating. I have only at least two staff at the reception who smiled and welcomed me the rest are miserable at reception! Room: generally new and clean. They will only clean it when you request it to be cleaned otherwise it’s more of the environmental impact that they preach. Will I come back? Probably."

"Richard, Benjamin, and all the staff were perfect! Exceeded our expectations. Richard helped to coordinate reasonably priced taxis to/from the hotel and Benjamin checked us in smoothly. The welcome profiteroles were a stunning surprise. As AMEX members, there was a free upgrade so we enjoyed a beautiful lanai overlooking the front of the hotel; early check-in and late checkout as members were well received The bellhops were very warm and accommodating. While we were only visiting for an evening, our visit at the hotel was unforgettable. We will definitely be back to this charming city and this beautiful hotel. "

"One room was nice. The other room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. We requested a taxi for 4:15 am. The desk clerk said he would arrange it. The taxi never came and the nighttime contact numbers were recordings. We were luckily able to catch a bus to the airport. "
