  • One of the many local food stalls in the Chaweng walking street. This stall does not have a name but on their menu it says "Thai Food Thai Style" and is next to Samui Grilled Fish. We have tried different dishes from most of the food stalls and feel this one has the best quality, consistency, taste and price. They make a great Tom Khai Kai, Pad Se-eew Goong and Pad Thai(no tofu at it is dried out). Enjoy. #market

Love Malibu Resort! the staff are extremely friendly, its a great spot, beach access and the mall/lots of stores just behind the resort. A great access point, definitely a little bit of a busy area but again if you just go to the beach it's really nice. I love the walkway to the beach very bungalow vibey

This is a great resort that is ideal for people who are looking for a quiet and clean resort. Has a great restaurant, clean pool and good access to the beach. I recommend this resort and will definitely be staying here on my next visit.

Reception staff were outstanding! Always friendly, smiling,happy and greeting us each time we arrived back. Good english. Resort is Right on the beach. Across the road from shopping mall, plenty of restaurant options. Also lots of street shops. We hired a scooter from a lady right next to the hotel, plenty of hotel parking. Spacious bathroom facilities. Swimming pool was always very clean. Restaurant staff helpful. Buffet breakfast was simple, but offered to cook which ever type of eggs.

Mixed Experience at Malibu Resort Koh Samui The location of Malibu Resort is excellent – it’s right on the beach and directly across from the Koh Samui city center shopping mall. This makes it very convenient for shopping, dining, and exploring the area. The beach itself is great for swimming, and several good restaurants and attractions are within walking distance. The rooms, however, are quite basic. While there is hot water and a balcony to relax on, the TV lacks Netflix or YouTube, so it’s not ideal if you’re looking for entertainment. That said, the rooms are functional and can serve well as a crash pad for those who just need a place to rest and unwind. A word of caution: be wary of the water jet scooter providers operating right on the beach in front of Malibu. We had a very unpleasant encounter with them. After inadvertently parking the scooter on the wrong section of the beach (which we weren’t informed about), they were extremely aggressive and shouted at us, ruining the mood of the day. Unfortunately, the resort staff had no affiliation with these vendors and couldn’t offer any assistance. It was a disappointing experience, especially since we were just trying to enjoy the day. I hope the resort management takes note of this and finds a way to ensure better interactions between guests and these third-party vendors. Overall, Malibu is a good spot if you’re looking for a convenient location with access to the beach and nearby amenities.

Great location for shopping and restaurants. Breakfast was good. Beds very comfortable and air con excellent. Fabulous to be right on the beachfront. Generally the property is a little tired looking. Lounges on the beach need to be replaced as very old. Drainage in the showers was poor. However, the great staff and the affordable accom made it a great value holiday! We would come back!
