Lonely Beach, Koh Chang is an interesting part of the island. If you are looking for budget accommodations and a safe and comfortable place to stay check out Carpe Diem. If you like to party, even better as around the corner it is party central - that means there will be noise. Luckily the room comes equipped with ear plugs. 3 prong plugs so easy to charge stuff up. I did like the lock up boxes in the room. Decent wifi. The pool is nice for a quick dip, it has sun shades. The bed was comfortable. We didn't need the A/C but we did use the fan. I like the added touch of the elephant artwork on the walls. The bathrooms is like a retro throw back - very random tile work. Aussie touch - check out the nail hammering table. If you are looking for high end, charming this isn't for you. Cheap and cheerful. Decent coffee. Complimentary filtered water. There's kinda of a kitchen area with a fridge - a bit random. But I'm sure you can figure it out. The palm trees on one side of the pool are nice.

I really enjoyed my stay, it is right next to a lot of the action, the area has a village community vibe & after a few days it feels like you know everyone, the owner is very nice & helpful pointing you in the right direction. The bed was very comfortable & the bar is a good place to relax. All of the staff were very friendly & the pool was nice.

Outstanding staff and value. The staff put the customer first, are very helpful, treat you like family, and encourage feedback. The rooms are comfortable. The pool is lovely after a full day of touring. You can walk everywhere you’d need to go (bars, shopping, restaurants). That area is the most chill, and has everything you’d need.

I’m so sorry for that owner but that close to the loudest discotheque around is even for free to much. I had to make scuba dives every morning and flew away in the second night.

Good for the price and very nice peoples

Very good for the price and the owners are very nice people. The location is not right on the sandy beach but you can walk to the famous sandy Lonely beach nearby.

L’hotel Est plutôt bien situé près de lonely beach qui est l’une des plus belles plages de l’ile ! Le propriétaire est serviable et les chambres sont de bonne facture (le matelas est très bon pour l’asie). Attention le quartier est bruyant (himmel bar)

Schönes Guesthouse. Lage ungünstig für Nachtruhe.

Sehr schönes Guesthouse. Zimmer neuwertig und sauber. Gesamtanlage mit Pool und überdachtem Aufenthaltsbereich bei der Rezeption ebenfalls sehr gepflegt und sauber. Tolle Gastgeber, die Tipps für Aktivitäten, Ausflüge und für abendliche (Spiele-)Unterhaltung haben. Alles total entspannt. Gute Lage einige Meter abseits der Hauptstraße. Tagsüber sehr ruhig. Einziges Manko: in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft befindet sich die „Himmel-Bar“. Von 11pm bis 5am (manchmal 6am) ist für Extremstbeschallung gesorgt, die es problemlos mit jeder Parade z.B. eines CSD aufnehmen kann. Wir wussten leider nicht, dass Lonely Beach die Partymeile auf Ko Chang ist. Sind wir vielleicht selbst schuld daran. Jedenfalls sind wir nach 3 schlaflosen Nächten vorzeitig abgereist, trotz weiteren gebuchten und bezahlten Nächten. Deshalb auch so ausführlich und nochmal als Wiederholung: Für Partylöwen und Besucher, die nachts eh‘ nicht schlafen wollen, ist das Carpe Diem absolut perfekt. Volle Punktzahl. Für uns war es zu laut, was NICHT am Carpe Diem liegt, sondern eher allgemein an Lonely Beach. Gästen, die eher tagsüber aktiv sein und nachts schlafen wollen, möchten wir empfehlen, auf Ko Chang einen anderen Ort als Lonely Beach auszuwählen.
