"Mostly everything was good and the bed was comfy. Reason for only 8 rating is because the fan that was in the room was covered in dust (obvs never cleaned), room was a bit noisy as right next to busy road (glad we had brought earplugs) and the breakfast was pretty basic. But, all said and done we enjoyed our stay and I would come here again."

"Overall it was a pleasant stay. Location was excellent and parking for 48 hours is included. But.. do not stay in a heatwave like we did. I know it’s a rare occurrence, but in the summer, this must be a real issue. The windows do not open effectively (tiny gap) and although a fan is provided, it really did nothing. A winter hotel for me for sure."

"We cannot recommend the Maldron highly enough. Excellent value for money, high standard of rooms and so calm and quiet. Outstanding breakfasts and high quality food available at other times too. A relaxed but smart bar area where you can get a drink, cup of tea or snacks/lunch/dinner. Vegan residents are well catered for and there are good GF options too, especially at breakfast. We spent 3 nights here for a holiday in the city and the hotel couldn’t be more ideally placed for both the Albert Docks/Beatles Story area or the other attractions of the city (about 10 mins or so walk each way). Liverpool is a wonderful city, with many options to entertain and the friendliest folk around you. This includes the friendly staff at the Maldron, who provide a highly efficient and qualify service to residents. We can’t wait to come back!"

"I’ve known this place to have quite a bad reputation and not great reviews but I thought it was lovely. The building itself it’s nice and classic old with high ceilings and wide corridors. My room was slightly dusty but altogether was very clean my room also had a bath which is always a bonus for me in hotel! Reasonably priced and I didn’t eat any food but the restaurants smelled really good"
